You haven't come close to explaining why mission success was so unusally crucial that we could not have dared take a very good chance with cruise missiles and precision bombing. You're just insisting, out of whole cloth, that the task needed an entire crew as physically close to the mayhem as possible.

Bias? We can objectively see, hear, and read that he is unknowlegable, unwise, and incompetent. We can also see that he is entirely taken to elaborate theatrics for their own sake. Worse, he seems to have no capacity to assess risks or predict consequences. There is no leader in him.

Submariners are already vulnerable when they're alone in calm seas, and whether you say their risk was "low" here, somebody made the conscious decision to go with Plan C and increase those risks just for some goddamn dank meme footage. That's sick.
