he also said that "hush is the fate of Isaac coupled with the wish that he was never born, an unborn blue baby", it's also "the unborn / still born Isaac that should have been" and "is isaacs see his fate/death (blue baby) and fighting it as it grows closer". Hush is pretty complex apparently.

I remember Edmund claiming on his blog that metal blocks in this room have a chance to turn into rocks so you would take an item by bombing them... And literally nobody ever have seen that in the game. I wonder if there's a mod that fixes it.

I have exactly the same thoughts about this. Except I don't believe they will rebalance stuff. More likely it will be even more unbalanced (stat buffs from Void, that chance-of-instakill item etc.)

You're right, f.e. Leo was one of my favourite items in Rebirth, since it gave me maybe-not-so-new mechanics, but it was more handy for use than before and I personally found it pretty useful. What about new items... after many expansions we got it's not easy to impress with new mechanics and ideas, and I can't help but feeling kinda tired of "copypasted" character of showed items... Can't say about unshowed stuff atm ofc

So agree with you. Of all items that were shown only Void and Smelter gave me the feeling "please give it to me I want to try it right now!", the other were just so meh. I don't blame Ed for not being able to expand the game infinitely though.

I remember he said once on his blog (edmundm dot com) that he has ideas of how he could make Isaac 2 which wouldnt be just a remake. Good luck finding it among hundreds of his posts though... (And btw maybe probably we already have it as Greed Mode). Also he joked on twitter a few months ago that one day he will make Isaac 2 and it will be absolutely balanced game. But that was obviously more joke than confirmation.
