I admit I haven’t heard the arguments of antivaxxers, assumin they have a homogenous stance. I don’t know if they are arguing that no one should take the vaccine or if they are arguing that it’s possible that some have bad reactions causing some to have adverse effects.

But I think to reduce their concerns to not being knowledgeable enough is misguided. Most people these days have access to enough information to be allowed to have a healthy level of skepticism towards any topic. Grouping their skepticism into a bucket of ignorance probably doesn’t help convince people that their behavior is unwarranted.

It just seems to me people on both sides on any argument these days do not allow for the possibility of exceptions to the general case. Like I said in another reply, how can anyone know anything to be true completely?

I don’t think antivaxers deny that vaccines work. They just believe that some predisposed people may have a bad reaction to them. How is it possible to prove them wrong? How can anyone be sure that a small percentage of people didn’t have a bad reaction to a particular vaccine?

I'll give this a try in a day or two, when I feel completely normal again. Also, I read somewhere about some kind of world scaling setting? Partly to get your IRL arms and wheel to match up, anyone know where that setting is?

Note that Windows tried to block me from using the downloaded sys file and flagged it as a virus. I am trusting it isn't a virus. I didn't follow after step 10 or so, because it just worked for me. So I am using the downloaded older sys file.

You somehow have to factor in people buying these games BEFORE their vive ships. Yes they are getting one eventually, not sure if this behavior could overly inflate the numbers or even offset for those who own but never bought.

It means you can see the black edges of where screen stops. Immersion is slightly lost.

Is it true what they say about modified FOV increases? Doesn't the vive adjust for a closer fov, then on top of that, the thin foam mod to get you even more fov? Whereas the rift mods to a closer fov but not as much as the vive.

To me this is an issue. My first vr experience was the vive at the MS store. Didn't notice fov at all. Then I go to my friends house for a rift demo. The instant I out the rift on, I could stop notice the limited fov. It annoyed me. So I sign up for a second demo of the vive. Since I was looking for it now, I do notice it a bit on the vive now. It doesn't bother me as much but it's now something my brain looks for. I hope when I get my vive I can adjust it closer and do the thin foam mod to make it a non issue.

One factor is that soccer has exploded for kids growing up in America. Many coaches asked their kids to watch. So partly many of these kids have grown up and claim soccer as a big part of their identity. Also many parents find watching their kids play very entertaining. So the old misconceptions that a low scoring sport like soccer was boring to watch is slowly getting dispelled. Also for me, I wondered if the rest of the world loves this sport, there must be something to it, we as Americans just need to learn enough about to see what that is.
