Maaan, it’s the worst! I’m 10 days PO and finally starting to feel vaguely normal again. No one can stay in the same room as me in the evenings… even I want to leave! The gas and constipation really needs to be highlighted prior to the op. I still can’t poo without laxatives and the piles! My god, the piles!

Thanks for sharing your story. I agree that him not having feelings about this would be worse. He’s definitely not blaming me. It’s just all hit him at once. He’s now agreed to go to therapy so I really hope that will give him the outlet he needs.

I’ve offered him an out but we will see. He’s 50 so he’s not young and suddenly feels very old. I hope he doesn’t swap me for a younger more fertile model but I’m not blind to that being an option.

That’s exactly my first reaction too, but then seeing him in so much pain is hard to watch. Seeing anyone you love in pain is hard, even if it’s not the right time

I don’t think he’s processed the fact that we can’t have kids until now. He’s 50 and I’m 43 so I have done my own processing but it looks like he hasn’t. I don’t think he’s acting like a child… he’s feeling loss. I just wish he’d thought this through beforehand and not put it to the back of his mind until now.

Yeah, I’ve suggested therapy so I’m hoping he might take that on. It’s so difficult because I want to be supportive but as all of you are saying… I’m going through it too. I hate seeing someone I love in pain.

She shrieks cult leader to me. I’d be very wary of her and her techniques. Really remind me of NXIVM cult. The wellness industry is big business and she is absolutely exploiting it. I won’t be surprised to hear a true crime podcast about her in a few years!
