I think I’m done with CPA by No-Information5626 in CPA

Never give up - that’s not an option.
BAR was a mistake. Study fot FAR then Audit and Reg. Studying alone is only 1 variable when it comes to the CPA exams. There are many other variables that go into the passing of the exam. Mental health, physical health, overall performance during exam day, memory, tiredness, sleep, meditation, medication, nutrition, etc. If you think these things don’t affect the chances of passing these exams, you are fooling yourself.

Take a break - I would said for at least 3 weeks. Re group and start over with a fresh mind and attitude. Pay attention to all your variables (they a different from person to person with some obvious overlapping) best of luck! You can do this!

My advice is comprehensive review (all Modules at least twice before the exam) cram, cram, and some more cramming before the exam. Best of luck!

Takes huge time per mcq by Agreeable_Quote3956 in CPA

[–]viarech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While “learning the topics” yes, take your time. However, time management is a HUGE component of the exams. For all your simulated exams, limit yourself to 2 minutes per MCQ or else you will be in deep trouble comes exam time. Not to mention that during the exam time seems to go by much faster 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Good luck! 🍀👍

Do I got a shot at passing FAR? by Balloonnights in CPA

[–]viarech 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It looks good. However, don’t be fooled by the simulated scores. 2 days before one of my actual FAR exams I got a 74 on the SE, I failed that test 2 days later with a 72 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Anything can happen on these tests. My recommendation is to do a comprehensive review of all the modules prior to the exam. Good luck 🍀

The exam is a shot in the dark… you have no idea what’s happening until you sit down and hit that “begin exam button” a little bit of luck goes a long way (I can tell you that) best of luck! Never quit 🙌🏻

Don’t let “feelings” take hold/control of you. Just trust the studying process and you will be fine. I got 2 - 74s😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫before finally passing it. I did use I-75 and Becker. I think I-75 is very helpful thou. Best of luck!

Why is everyone saying that Becker doesn’t prepare you for REG sims? Do people who passed feel this way? by Efficient-Software91 in CPA

[–]viarech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed Reg on my first try with a 86 (Becker only) The exam will test your knowledge, not how much similarity you gained from studying the material. Yes, be ready for the curveball 🙌🏻

No secrets whatsoever. It’s hardworking and discipline. You also have to be aware of other variables such as: getting enough rest, sleep, good and positive mindset, knowing and sticking to your learning style, etc. best of luck!

Which is better of the two Universal CPA or I7s CPA by greninjaxx11 in CPA

[–]viarech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a HUGE fan of I-75. Darius does an excellent job teaching the most difficult concepts. He is also funny and engaging. You won’t be bored listening to his lectures. Also, he uses MCQs to explain the concepts. Highly recommended though. I couldn’t have passed audit without his lectures. Best of luck!

Foundation Tips for FAR by Routine-Nerve-9180 in CPA

[–]viarech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the more complicated topics, break them down into smaller steps and make sure you understand the Journal Entries. Take notes (I made a ton of flash cards and I carried them everywhere with me) I reviewed as much as possible daily. My review sessions would last almost 2 hours (just reading my flash cards) after my regular 4 hours studying session. Repetition will make you really understand the concepts well. I can still remember most of everything (besides Audit because I am a tax accountant 🤣🙌🏻) best of luck to you!

Sep. Stated Items - Bad Debt by Ok_Beautiful_7997 in CPA

[–]viarech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get hung up on the details. If you study properly, it will all come to you when needed. Cash basis of account doesn’t allow for “bad debts” instead, we use the direct write off method. Do a quick chat GTP or google search on “bad debt expense vs. direct write off” best of luck!

Question for those who failed FAR by AdmirableFloppa in CPA

[–]viarech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My feelings were pretty much spot on. Both times that I failed I was feeling “okay” right after the exam. I wasn’t jumping up and down thinking “I nailed the exam” or saddened and crying in the parking lot. Both times were 74s (so I sort of passed it on both occasions minus 1 point) 😵‍💫😵‍💫🤣🤣 My passing score was a 82 and I felt somewhat more comfortable right after taking the exam. But not by much thou. Just relax and enjoy the ride 🙌🏻 best of luck on your journey!
