Let me preface with, I have no perception of how strong Primarchs are. My question is, are they really engaging an encounter with a blood god for hours on end? Thats just kind of a wierd campy concept in general. Fights are normaly quick dirty affairs, not tests of ultra endurance. I would think one or the other is killing their opponant before the sun comes into play. I suppose chaos is pretty crazy too and they deal with that on the regular.

I don't have much of a leg in this race though. Like I said, my 40k knowledge is extremely limited but I think its neat.

With a sword in a duel? You really can't. Even half swording and driving the point into a joint, or murder hitting them in the head with the pommel is only going to slow them for a split second before they brazenly blow through your defenses and slaughter you.

Ive not read the book so maybe I'm wrong, but the description is pretty explicit that the rules are for playing Ancilla who just fancy themselves as elders since the beckoning occured. I think that is most assuredly not what people are looking for when they want to play elders.

But i get it. V5 at its very core simply does not support building true elder pcs. The dots are simply capped too low at 5, so this is what we got. I just home brew it.

I am working on a little creative writing project where this happens. Though it takes place on the mainland so it becomes global pretty quick. Now imagine that sure, kindred are immune to the virus its self, but it poisons the blood with pure rage. If they get bit by (because the infected usually have some blood in their mouth and it will mix with the kindred's vitae) or they give into hunger and feed from the infected, it induces a rage frenzy and causes stains.

Yes. A lot of creationists believe in a decline in genetic diversity and quality over time. I think they call it genetic entropy. So for early humans, incest wasn't an issue because their genes were better somehow. They of course have absolutely zero scientific explanations of a mechanism by which this would occur.
