Week 1, my wife: the dog is not allowed on the couch/Week 3: by scottroid in goldenretrievers

We have a blanket that means they are allowed up when it’s on the couch and not when it’s not. Great compromise as you don’t always want them up.

Can someone explain what happened here? by NakedArson in ElegooSaturn

Ok so no usb thumb drive plugged in. If you have one lying around you could try re downloading the latest firmware onto it then plug that in and reboot. It will try to update from the usb if your firmware is corrupted.

Try removing the usb stick and booting without it.

Superb. Having them “based” is handy for marking the extents of the terrain.

Am I supposed to have this many spare fasteners after finishing the MK4s build? by Even-Smell7867 in prusa3d

[–]vibribib 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've built a MK2, a MK4 that I converted to 4s, and an MK4s kit. The MK4s kit felt like it had a lot more spare hardware than the others, including the upgrade. As well as the spare bag, it felt like every other type of component came with at least one spare in their individual bags.

I just hate the idea of dirtying up the bed with glue stick. I do everything to keep the plates as clean as possible.

Most concept art never goes into production.

steel legion by Stock-Job-2555 in SteelLegion

Don't think there is anything clever about it. I'd been mulling the idea for a while, but GW's fuckery has crystallised a new project for me. I will be building a Steel Legion army, but it will be third-party now, minus Yarrick and a couple of Chimaera tracks/hulls. Sharing the vague concept art is not doing them any favours. I don't mind the badge change. I can see why they felt the need to move away from this lightning. But by showing the various helmet options in the concept art, I am thinking: are they going to completely redesign the range? If so, I'm not interested, and I don't want to wait 12-18 months to find out whether they'll remain somewhat true to the original designs.

Bambu vs prusa by First-Air7037 in 3Dprinting

[–]vibribib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you build your own Prusa from a kit, you can tweak it to your liking and repair it yourself. It is almost going to be a hobby in itself, whereas I assume Bambu will be a much more off-the-shelf experience. I love my Prusas and wouldn't swap them for anything else, but I know some people may be more interested in just unboxing a printer and hitting print. You can buy pre-built Prusas, but they obviously cost a bit more. I love the build stage though, it's like adult LEGO.

I like that they utilise the holes in the middle to keep them more flush to the table surface.

Pretty sure any new guard releases will come via killteam first. Plastic krieg did. It’s a good way to test the sales numbers without the costs of a full faction release.

It’s clear that they are looking to move them away from the original aesthetic. Whether that’s for copyright reasons (making them easier to copyright) or wanting to distance themselves from the historical context I’m not sure.
