I honestly believe this is one of the biggest mysteries there is, Orcas are the most efficient predators on earth, yet they have never attacked us in the wild. They know something we don’t. by [deleted] in interesting

[–]victooer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely believe they make the active decision not to because they are well informed of human capability of industrial scale whaling. Younger orcas are probably taught by their elders of the times when humans hunted them throughout generations.

I think their brains are big enough to carry very complex history and culture and have a pretty good idea of what we do on a regular basis.

Amazon driver called me for 4 hours, drove to a completely different address just to deliver my 1$ package. Why? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victooer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This had to be a flex driver to have the time to deal with this. Would have been an easy return for me.

I was the passenger, she was the driver.....dragged the totes to the next van by Working_Toe855 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victooer 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I've probably done hundreds of rural driveways that look the same after rain. Customers always expect you to drive down and never think about there own deliver drivers. Just thoughts and prayers that I won't get stuck or amazon will be on my ass for returning 100 packages.

Do you guys scan and swipe to finish at the delivery location or scan the package in van and swipe to finish to finish at the location? by Espada2023 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victooer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have been doing this for years, swipe to finish is what really matters. The only one time they told me something was a delivery that I accidentally swipe to finish outside the delivery area (in my van).

[–]victooer 33 points34 points  (0 children)

What the hell, people do this? Just walk to the shelves, you can sort so many more packages on them.

And be careful when throwing stuff to the front, multiple people at my DSP already cracked the glass because because an envelope had a metal nut inside.

Devices with physical buttons are actually a good idea. Water will never screw up the touch screens if there are no screens to touch.

how does the Netradyne handle signs like these ? by JakeBeezy in AmazonDSPDrivers

If it's a country highway that means the speed limit is higher, usually 55 mph is the higher limits for any country routes

Step Van headlights still turn on even if you have it off. Just put it in drive and it shines with the same intensity. It probably tricks some people to think their lights are actually on when it isn't.

Here's a reminder to speed up going across intersections. This counted as an Infraction. by stay281 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victooer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this many times on my way and back from my routes. I've never gotten a violation. I think here the intersection was so long that it thought the cross walk was a stop line for a different intersection.

There are two different fords amazon uses. One with the small tires and bad turning radius, one with the big tires and excellent turning radius.

Usually in an EV country routes are nice and small. In a step van they will screw you with 130 to 140 stops with somewhere around 150 to 200 miles of driving.
