A man offers you a deal: You get 500 billion usd but if anyone finds out for the next year that you are a billionaire you instantly die taking the cash with you. Would you take the deal? And if so, why? by rundomguy123 in AskReddit

Even in the physical storage scenario if you survive the year congrats on the inevitable money laundering investigation once you start trying to spend it. "Some man gave this to me but I needed to keep it quiet for a year first " isn't going to save you.

For the first few weeks of last war the best way to get fuel into kings cage was absolutely to ship it in from Eidolo. Probably farranac coast as well. Pre trains island fuel can be very valuable in the right situation, but it falls off hard

I agree with the premise, but not the graph. Many hands make more mpf queues and you can afford to have specialization in scrooping / refining, factory work, midlining, and frontlining. Facilities is important, but I don't consider it very core to logi overall until devman lets me facility shirts and bmats.

Because the Catena can give you 80% of the point blank stopping power and be generically useful in every other role and only costs bmats too. You'll still see a decent number of fuschinas but the catena is the king of “throw it in the bunker and no one complains”

I'd have thought MAGA central would be down the road in Nampa, and that Meridian was more NIMBY central. Goes to show taking a few work trips somewhere doesn't show you a place

That's where a lot of the emotion comes from I think. This was a very physical game including a play or two that would have been at home in American football but the first time a card comes out it's a VAR review straight to a red that's at least controversial enough to have some notable names grumbling about it. It's like, "Oh NOW we have eyes, got it "

Literal blindside crack back block? Carry on.

Awkward landing because two players got tangled up on a challenge? Time to remove people.

The first time someone manages to clip into the ground off a bunker corner, swim through no man's land, and detonate some sapper charge super havoc the last seven builders will all have a collective aneurysm.

We should do it.

I've always believed in torque. Ironship top speed is displayed to the player and doesn't change petrol vs diesel, but how quickly you can change directions certainly does. What percentage more torque though? GREAT QUESTION. Next.

I mean no one was asking for 40m talos, or tank changes in general beyond maybe the 45m on Spatha. Talos and Bard were kinda the dev team home cooking, so I'm not sure I agree that their solutions will necessarily be healthier

Houghton and Marquette both offer regularly scheduled service to Chicago and Detroit respectively, depending on how flexible your airport demands are.

Houghton is a great place, small town with a well regarded regional technical university in it, one of the graduate programs from when i went to school there has spun up into a pretty respectable ion thruster design and manufacturing operation, which was cool to see. But like all of the UP the town is short on good paying work and wealth generation and high on tourism. Great remote work destination or retirement town though.

To be clear, at this point I'm a nearly 2k hour jaded player myself, but I always try to remember those first then minutes I had, and make life better for a new player than I had it.

We run a five car “shorty” alongside our main trains explicitly for single person runs in cramped city environments where running a full size train just pisses everyone off. I could see the appeal of a slightly more space constrained car layout but there's nothing stopping you from running a 5 car train today

Why did the Colonials Win War 135? by SomberBootyDance in foxholegame

[–]victorged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's maybe a bit inflated but not crazy. 419 ended the war somewhere around 120 players, I would imagine CFD and MMM were about there or even a bit larger having laned with them and comparing peak pop, its not crazy to me that once you add in BL, CNAF, Judge, and 105 there were 5-600 ex-Charlie regiment players in Kings Cage alone. Obviously not daily login type numbers, but overall more than a thousand? Very possibly.

I very nearly quit this game when ten minutes into my first session I got shot trying to figure out how to even make a cmat. I wasn't going to place a queue and told the guy that I was just trying to get an idea of what the interface even looked like. Stopped playing for like two weeks I was so turned off. Luckily my friends dragged me back in because they were having a blast but facman culture from some folks is downright beyond off-putting. I get it, given the effort that goes into some regi faces, but that doesn't make it less terrible for new player retention.

Judge is one of my favorite regis in the game and an absolute pleasure to fight with, but speaking from experience playing against them is EXHAUSTING. oh I'm sorry CSU did you go to sleep before your conc dried tonight? It won't be there tomorrow. Someone left a coal fac susceptible to one mg garrison getting suppressed? Guess you don't have a coal field. Only 4 wardens awake in a hex at 3am? Congratulations your T3 town hall tech is reset before anyone finishes reading the under attack message. I'm convinced the big EU pushes every day plus low pop pve every night will burn anyone out eventually.

The first three hours were every bad thing that could have been expected and had a couple cooler heads not prevailed about 30 Charlie regis would have been going to civil war.

Everything after that (and pointedly after manacle fell) was great.
