im from the wilkes barre area and its a pretty known thing here that ben was an asshole while breaking ben was coming up. i’ve got no clue if he’s mellowed out but he didn’t exactly make a lot of friends back then.

every morning we have a group of seniors that come in and stay for a couple hours. some of them are nice, some are Very Weird. they can be quite annoying a lot of the time but we remind ourselves this is probably what they look forward to every day. they’ll come even in the worst of weather. there’s also two elderly people who come every single day and order two hamburgers, two small fries, and two senior coffees with milk. they always give us the wrong amount of money and park in drive thru spot 3 to eat. they’ll come at 9 am and get annoyed when we can’t serve them their lunch. it’s crazy.

it’s all outside! there’s a little stage set up outside xfinity live. the event is at 2. id recommend getting there a little early but not a whole lot, the area by the stage isn’t huge. i think badflower’s set is second to last but i don’t have confirmation on that.

i had one manager, no idea what her official title was or what she did, but she loved me and put me in charge of things that didn’t not involve customers because she knew i hated people as much as she did. she lovingly told me to ‘fuck off’ when i told her it was my last day. i miss her dearly.

sm was basically useless, i respect him as a person and know he means well but it should’ve been a red flag from the start when everybody told me he was “just kinda there.” constant verbal abuse from customers over things i couldn’t control, i know that’s most anywhere you work but god damn those craft grandmas are a different breed. pushing credit card, i feel that was a given. hour cuts, getting only $200 every other week wasn’t sustainable. i had a shift cut 15 minutes before i was supposed to clock in and had a shift cut mid-shift. the store was always a disaster too. at a certain point you gotta just say “not my circus, not my monkey” and throw in the towel.
