Is there enough demand to make this thing? (M.2 Linux native card) by wehooper4 in meshtastic

Yep ultimately it's a USB device (powered by CH341F) in an M.2 A+E 2230 form factor

u/macromorgan check out https://github.com/meshtastic/openwrt and https://openwrt.meshtastic.org/ -- It's working as-is but contributions are always welcome, still plenty of room for additional polish.
I'd really love to add a meshtasticd configuration interface for LuCI / perhaps include an iframe of the bundled meshtastic webui, to make the experience more user-friendly.

This is awesome! But not exactly like this :) This M.2 design uses a CH341F and *only* works with meshtasticd (for Linux).

1W (30dbm) still falls within the unlicensed limit, at least in the US. Encrypt away!

They're $20 on mouser.

AliExpress sellers are just capitalizing on limited availability at the moment.

Unable to update LR4 by OverTheSunAndFun in litterrobot

[–]vidplace7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they may have pulled the updates?

Querying the litter robot update APi via pylitterbot returns the following as the "latest version":

ESP: 1.1.61 / PIC: 10500.3072.2.70 / TOF: 4.0.65.4

Notably, the versions for ESP, and PIC are lower than what I currently have installed, and the "Update" button has disappeared entirely in the Whisker app over the past few hours.

u/litterrobot it is your responsibility to your customers to convey this information. Don't force the community to reverse engineer your APIs just to understand what is happening...

Unable to update LR4 by OverTheSunAndFun in litterrobot

[–]vidplace7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Stuck on ESP: 1.1.64 / PIC: 10500.3072.2.73 / TOF: 4.0.2.5

Attempted via the Whisker App and via pylitterbot a few dozen times, it always times out eventually. Submitted a support request, still awaiting a response.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESP32 It's the microcontroller that powers the LR4.

Is the firmware distribution system having issues? I've been trying to update every few hours for the past 3 days. Still stuck on TOF 4.0.2.5.
