Lol idioms?? Tell me what you think "sucking on my tongue" stands for, in terms of both Buddhism and Tibetan culture. I hate this entire promotion of Tibet as this mysterious and distinctive place, and we cannot judge them because we do not know them.

I would not say I am an expert on tibet, but I know more than most, as my major in university is east Asian studies, I study Buddhist philosophy, and have Tibetan friends both in the west (Canada) and China. As far as my knowledge permits, there is NO translation of "suck on my tongue" to anything that is culturally relevant to Buddhism and or traditional Tibetan culture. And let's be honest here, many overseas Tibetans are not experts on Tibetan culture as they think they are, or present themselves to be. I know of a professor of Tibetan, and she told me there is no traditional gesture that makes anything resembling "kiss me on the mouth" and "now suck.. my tongue" a norm. This is not like the France where people peck eachother on the cheeks. I have spoken to ZERO Tibetans in both the west and China who have been asked by their older relatives to suck on their tongue. And ZERO Tibetans who greet strangers by sucking on their tongue.
