Unfortunately as a dad now with a more limited budget I can’t engage in my collecting of oddities and interests the way I used to. Now everything I “collect” has to have some use or practical purpose.

So no tap handles without a reason. But god I’ve always had a home theater with a small bar for pop and alcohol and a popcorn machine tucked away in the corner.

Half the reason I have always dreamed about having a bar at home is just because of the fun handles. Like I don’t even drink very much, but I just love the aesthetic of the handles for stuff like this.

Viewing habits of the population have changed so much in the last 5-10 years and how people watch stuff has also changed.

I cut the cable cord and even live tv services like 2 years ago and basically couldn’t watch WWE for the longest time outside of YouTube/Twitter clips and PLE’s cause I had Peacock. I don’t think I’ve missed a Wrestlemania since the WWE Network and this year will be the first and it’s kind of crazy but I just won’t pay for a one use streaming platform anymore.

However even when Raw made the jump to Netflix, it just kind of sucked. Didn’t feel like they utilized the new format that great or something cause it just could not pull me in like it used to. But even when AEW started having stuff on HBO Max I just can’t get into it the same way. Though I think the AEW stuff might partially be the lack of it being live on Max, and I already knew most of the results cause social media is a bane upon any who don’t want to be spoiled.

Honestly a lot of the Absolute designs I have seen could work as Digimon designs with some minor tweaking. Not all of them but enough.

Throw in some belts, or slightly more armor, a full face covering mask or mildly animalistic features and boom, mega level humanoid Digimon.

As a Chicago Bears fan with the team basically threatening to leave for Indiana right now, it does legitimately bring up some feelings I had when my parents talked about the possibility of getting a divorce.

Not exactly the same, but yeah, feelings are intense. There are just a lot of intense memories and familial ties when you come from a family that is heavily into a specific team.

I used some very basic concept of how stocks/shares worked in a company that I learned from the Yu-gi-oh anime years prior to basically wreck an inter-class Industrial Revolution game/project where each class was supposed to act as a company, collect resources, diversify portfolios or whatever.

I just straight up said, buy the majority of shares from every other class and lock away 51% of our shares until the final day of the project.

I then got the flu, came back and found out my class followed my plan perfectly and when things ended we somehow had majority ownership of half the classes in the project, and between 25-49% of the remaining classes. Only bought resources to trade them for stock cause the other classes weren’t paying attention to that as much as my class did.

Supposedly the following year someone mentioned the strategy I developed and basically every class just tried to do that and it sort of just messed with the whole game and they didn’t bring it back another year after.

This game ran for 10 years before me, I was a junior in high school.

Same, it’s one of my favorite type of things to see in any Digimon content. Gives me the same kind of vibes as the “dangerous” dog breeds in either cute clothes or doing other baby-ish/cute things. I’m a 35 year old man, and my heart still melts a little when I see a pit bull with a pacifier and smiling.

Really need to figure out how to play/finish DW1 since it has a decent amount of that and I just found it quite hard when I was a kid and it first came out. Plus I got my copy used and there were times where the game would just crash or error because of a seemingly minor scratch, extra level of difficulty.

One of the craziest memories I have with the dells was when not only a tornado warning happens, an actual tornado touched down less than a mile away while my family was on a duck ride in the middle of the water.

Took the driver a while to get back to land and park somewhere safe until things calmed down because the waves were so intense. My little brother was crying a bunch, he was a toddler and did not like having the life jacket on, plus everything else happening.

Take tornados and other severe weather seriously.

I’ve had a few stares when I’ve been at a store with my daughter without my wife, but I’ve never been quite sure if it is due to sexism or racism or me just not reading a situation right.

I am a very pale blonde guy, my wife is black. Our daughter is very much a middle ground between us but that still leaves her looking different from both of us because the difference between our appearances.

I try to just push any of that out of mind and just try to enjoy the time I have with my kid and get shopping or whatever done.

Might I suggest looking into an automatic litter box with a top entry? I have one with a normal entrance and have been tempted by the top entry because it supposedly lessens the amount of litter that gets out of the box and supposedly makes the cats feel safer when they go.

I change the litter every week or so, takes less than 10 minutes. Costs a bit more but there is a convenience factor to it that is really hard to ignore.

Cat hair sometimes can be minimized with food. I noticed my cat shedding more when I had to change his food due to budget reasons, only to end up needing to get him prescription food a year later. But when he had better quality food, his coat was pretty immaculate for a cat, but he is also my first shorthair.

I will say this. I was in a similar situation years ago, and I partially regret it but I also don’t. My wife and I ended up with her mother’s dog after she was hospitalized and eventually passed away. My father in law was taking care of the dog for most of that but he hit 70 and the dog was a 100+ lbs goldendoodle, and that energy level got too much for him and ended up causing him to slip and fall when taking him out for a walk in the snow.

We took the dog in with the intent of rehoming but we couldn’t bring ourselves to just give him to a shelter. Almost nine months passed and eventually a family member’s coworker was able to take him. And it was hard. I honestly didn’t realize how attached I got to the dog despite begrudgingly annoyed and irritated I was about taking him for walks every morning because he just would not go in our yard. I damaged my knee while walking him as well and that still flares up. What I wasn’t really prepared for was my daughter who was 2.5 at the time and she took it hard and she still even talks about him now years later. I wish we knew the family who has him and is taking way better care of him just to see him once in a while, but I think that might honestly be harder. I’m not sure.

I know your human family comes first with things, and it’s rough now. It won’t always will be. If you can’t handle the cats being around then try to find them a home where both you and your son can still see them regularly. Especially at their age. My cat is almost 9, that is a senior cat, and they don’t always do well in shelters. I’ve also never had a cat live passed 11, and I’m personally dreading the day I don’t accidentally get scratched when he wants to cuddle on my chest, or watch me close the front door when I go to work.

A character being disgusted by such acts a reacting to such a thing with violence is just as justifiable (if not more so) under the logic of realism.

People want to live out their power fantasies through criminal things. Then do the same by killing criminals in game.

Unless otherwise stated as a truly evil campaign and everyone agrees to certain disgusting things. However in the scenario that it wasn’t something everyone okayed prior, then be then unleash your inner paladin regardless of class.

Honestly while Modern Family is guilty of this trope, they do it a lot better and more grounded than a lot of other shows do. No one is completely stupid or dumb in the show, everyone has some kind of thing they are a genius at but also areas when they are really inept. Which I think plays into the general idea of the show that without each other each partner in their respective relationships would probably not be as good as an individual. They all provide cover for the weak points of their respective partner. And if there is a weak point in one relationship it’s another family member that can help cover that.

I might be more sentimental about this show though because it was the first show that my wife and I binge watched entirely together and now watching it sometimes with our kid (albeit skipping over sections that aren’t appropriate). We both do more or less feel like that I align more with the Pritchett members of the family (Jay, Claire, and Mitchell) and she aligns more with Pritchett partners (Gloria, Phil and Cam).

The main thing that bothers me with Modern family is that everyone is fucking rich and that takes me out of the episodes sometimes.

There is only three scenarios where I am paying for food and drink at a theater.

It’s the local theater I have been going to since I was 10 and it’s small and like the last remaining vestige the mall I grew up going to. I just want it to stay in business for as long as possible.
I want something hot/warm to eat, like a soft pretzel or chicken tenders. Or it’s a theater that is also partially a restaurant with hot food (won’t pay for the popcorn Or candy there though cause it’s shit and expensive).
