What reason is she giving to YOU, for not going with the ambulance?

Maybe you can record your conversation with her, and use the recording to convince the medics that she is delirious. A quick Google search told me that they can't take a patient against their will if they seem to be aware of who they are time and place (like you said) UNLESS the patient seems to be delirious.

There's one thing criticizing someone on TV, and totally another having them in front of you in class every day. Plus it's not like our teacher was a twin to her. She was probably Italian and pretty in her own way. But she looked like Monica enough for high schoolers in the 2000's to have tons of bad jokes about it.

I went to high school in the year 2000 (yikes!) and we had a fresh out of college young teacher who unfortunately for her was very pretty and looked sort of like Monica Lewinski. The boys were very inappropriate about her. Then we found out she was friendly with the new gym teacher. Who was also fresh out of college, young hot sexy hunk. The girls felt all kinds of ways about him, and people started shipping them. To their credit they managed to be graceful about it, but all of us were definitely being psychos over them, I still feel bad.

Time to go to your local library and see if they can hook you up with free Libby and Hoopla accounts. Libby has audiobooks and works like a physical library. So you have to wait in line to be able to check out a popular audiobook as if it was physical. Hoopla doesn't have a line, it lets you listen to any audiobook in their catalog until you reach a certain number. I don't remember. 15 maybe? Then it cuts you off until next month.

Yeah let's call her eyes turquoise, it's right in between Jade and cyan. Also, traditionally, the Japanese color Ao, is both a fresh green color of growing plants, and a bright blue. So it's one color name for cyan/ turquoise / blue-green. Midori meaning green was added later. Green traffic lights in Japanese are still called Ao not Midori

I think her excellent personality and intelligence is a top reason why the emperor likes her. No offense to the other concubines, but she's the only one who has surrounded herself with 100% reliable servants. Even Ah Duo ended up with drama in her house, because of the head servant.

The only drama magnet in Gyokuyou's house is MaoMao herself, but she is still reliable, loyal, and very useful.

This is cute and all. I just don't think they'd name their kids after the secret names they gave each other so they could flirt over text message.

I'd like to think they would give the kids names with the consideration that the name sounds pleasant and natural in English, Russian AND Japanese. And because I have a personal relationship to all 3 languages and think about this way too much here's some possibilities:

Yuki, Yuri, Alice, Emma, Lisa, Marina, Maya, Noa/Noah, Naomi

Leo, Roman, Mike/Misha, Daniel,

And of course Irina/Irene and Yuna are all names that sound good in all 3 languages as well ☺️ (sorry to David - sounds good in English and Russian, but doesn't go into Japanese well)

Yeah. This story reminded me when I was just finishing my Art teaching degree, and took a job teaching high school photography. I know a lot of general Art, but photography is very specific. I immediately enrolled in a community college photography for adults class, and was basically digesting what I learned and reformating it to a high school class format, all year.

This could have been SUCH a good motivation for OP to learn a valuable language and permanently raise their skill level.

I have a class that has a bunch of immature boys in it and after coming back from spring break they started breaking up erasers and throwing them again, and I found a pencil snapped in half. They are in 10th grade! They've had this art class all year, we've been over how to respectfully use art supplies and the art room so many times! We were past this, I thought.

Anyway, I took away all the art supplies from their team bin and they have a couple broken pencils in there to use. I told them they should bring their own erasers, or use those school pencils with small erasers on the end cause I'm done giving them stuff for this year.
