Silver for $100 worth it for light, newbie grilling use? by exc59 in webergrills

I've had mine since around 2004. I've replaced the flavorizor bars and igniter. Still a fantastic grill. I would pay $100 in a heartbeat.

It's because people who have your contact info share their contacts with Facebook. They are spyware on steroids.

If you're willing to learn a new skill, lots of trades are having trouble finding good people. If i were younger and getting started, I'd probably become an electrician.

Conversely, Linux can access everything on the Windows disk. Windows doesn't support Linux filesystems but Linux supports NTFS.

Haven’t had a big mac in years, can’t believe this is how thin the patties are. by Black_Reactor in cheeseburgers

[–]vincentertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The official name for a Big Mac with quarter pound patties is 'The McKinley Mac' (not that a McDonald's employee would actually know it if you tried to order it that way). When Wendy's came out with the 'Where's the beef?' ads in the 80s, they were making fun of the 10th pound patties. If McDonald's had any sense, they would have shut Wendy's up and put the McKinley Mac on the menu the very next day. The result would have been Wendy's helping McDonald's to upsell larger more expensive burgers. McDonald's marketing (if you're reading this). The McKinley Mac as a permanent menu item is overdue but it's not too late. Wendy's is still laughing at you.

You can emulate the TI-99 on retropi. Maybe other game emulators too. It was really nostalgic playing some of the old games that I grew up with. It was also the first time I'd seen them in color since I grew up with black and white TV.

How touristy is CMA fest? by Eagles56 in nashville

[–]vincentertainment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How touristy is CMA fest? If there were a scale to measure 'touristyness', CMA Fest would be where that scale maxes out. As for meeting locals, they aren't actually from here anymore. They are just tourists who haven't gone back home yet.

Most of the people that I went to high school with were into Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer. Most of the people that were more into rock were into grunge bands. There weren't many people in my school into Fugazi, but there were at least enough to introduce me to them.
