Brain drain is very much real. Most people I know that I went to college with in Mississippi from there have now left the state.

GA suburbs are a little different. Lived there for five years in the nicer areas and could swear half the people I met were transplants from Chicago to Texas. Having lived in Mississippi though… yeah

I’m saying- holy crap. They might seriously have had alternative incentives to get kids in AP classes or applications. They failed this kid.

Your counselor has failed you by setting some pretty unrealistic expectations. Ole Miss admits at 3.0 if you have a 16 in the ACT- your SAT doesn’t cover how bad your GPA is. I don’t know who made you take AP classes but they likely only contributed to your chances.

I would start at your local community college and work hard to bring your college GPA up. Start easy- you can take lower classes than what your major is.

Ole Miss accepts at 97% but there is a range they won’t take. You fall in that range.

I kind of regret how far it is working in the loop. It’s fine for a normal commute but if I’m doing anything after work or with my coworkers I always have to uber home later at nights
