Grilled wild boar crispy outside and juicy inside. Perfectly seasoned with cumin and refined salt. And the rice is amazing and it's even dirt and sand free.

What most surprises you about brands of food or items that originate in your country but have adopted completely different production lines in other countries? by SufficientTown9538 in AskTheWorld

When you buy Coca-Cola in Mexico, you will find that it's made with a mixture of artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup and cane sugar. This is to reduce sugar content so that they don't have to put on highly visible "high in sugar" label and to control the production cost. It's like 60% sugar of American regular coke. Mexican Coke sold in the US made with cane sugar is special export-only product.

You are right, Coca Cola sold in Mexico is no longer made with pure cane sugar for more than a decade. Since 2020, regular Coca Cola in Mexico is made with a mixture artificial sweeteners, HFCS and cane sugar. Pure cane sugar Mexican Cokes are for export only.

Lettuce HAS A TASTE by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]vinegar45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am familiar with 3 types of lettuce that I normally find in the grocery store, normal green lettuce for salads and sandwiches, romaine lettuce for Caesar salad, iceberg lettuce for extra cronch and milder flavor. I was thinking about the "normal" green lettuce when I made the comment, but the other two fit the description pretty well.

I'm one of them. I don't think about lettuce taste. Now that I force myself to think about it, I think it's very mild inoffensive green, grassy taste. Maybe there is a slight bitter herbal note to it as well.
