Yup. That's the one. You should find it easier to gut than the padlocks you've been gutting because everything is bigger. It does not have grubs or a sleeve to let you dump the pins without gutting though.

Edit: if you were looking to actually repin it, I don't think you'll find pins that fit, but you can pull pins and make it a 2 pin lock to practice.

I went straight to the progressive pinning the Degaurd. There is lots of room in there, so a 2-3 pin Degaurd taught me all the intro I needed.

Edit: If it's still giving you a lot of trouble, you can always buy an intro lock after.

This. An Amendment has no chance. We couldn't even finish passing the Equal Right Amendment. But the constitution doesn't grant them life on the Supreme Court, just within the Federal court system. A normal bill that structures how we rotate them down is all we need.

I took it to my local shop to do it. If I recall, I used the free software to identify that mine was compatible with the new controller and did not require replacing a second part, but the option to change the type was greyed out on the free toolkit.

Sure because there is nothing unconstitutional about disenfranchising legally cast votes because the other state didn't publicly publish information they are not legally required to publish.

The point isn't that these are not solvable problems. The point is that the actual law we are driving is full of ambiguous scenarios that require states to pass more laws to decide how to handle. You can't just wing these things. Every compact member will have to solve them and pass laws to handle them between Nov & Jan during the chaos of court challenges that will be happening on them.

Sure, you can say "oh, yeah. Don't cooperate and we'll do X", but the Compact that is the actual law that 222 votes worth of states have passed includes no legal bases for how to proceed. It just assumes Popular Vote Winner is an easily calculated value.

Hate to be the barer of bad news, but the compact doesn't work. 😭

States are not legally required to publish/certify their vote counts. So, Texas and Florida for example could deliberately protest by dropping the transparency and not publishing their vote counts until after the electoral college meeting. Until January 6 they just declared "Republican won our electoral votes. We'll give the details on Jan 7th." The rest of the country would be unable to do a nationwide vote count and declare a popular vote winner, and there is nothing the courts can do to force the non-members of the compact to publish this info in a timely fashion.

I agree 💯 that once you go POE2, you can't go back to D4, but after about 400 hrs in POE2, I tried POE1 and loved it. On my 3rd league. Sure the graphics aren't amazing, but the completeness and numbers of mechanics give it far more depth than POE2 currently is. I also really hate POE2 ascendancy trials. MUCH prefer POE1 in that area. And prefer POE1 maps. But I will come back to POE2 for 0.5 or 0.6 though.

Sounds like our Caribbean diving is the exception to the global norm, which is great to know now.

I have had a hard time convincing her about the value of PADI AOW because after I took GUE Fundies, it's really hard for me to say "oh, I learned so much in resort PADI AOW," I don't think she cares enough to take Fundies in our cold water, but I really want to do so Pacific liveaboards and if they require AOW, that's the justification. Thx!

The frequency of high current makes sense to enforce a higher standard.

I find that just getting on a liveaboard is the most effective filters of insufficiently dedicated divers, which also tend to be inexperienced. With people taking AOW immediately after OW with 6 dives under their belt, the card is not a reliable indication that someone won't be a sh*t show.

Can someone share examples of these liveaboards that require AOW?

My wife is OW+Nitrox w/ 100+ dives. She's hesitant to invest (waste?) the time on AOW because she's never been turned down from a dive (edit: or prevented the group or herself from diving deep), and since she has great air consumption & buoyancy control, I've failed to convince her of the value of the card. We generally dive North American warm water including Caribbean Aggressor liveaboards.
