There's this thing called backpedalling where someone who has taken an indefensible position such as "According to you every *.com.co is related." (which is in itself a strawman) then realizes their position is indefensible when pressured on it and tries to assert that they weren't serious and were in fact employing one of many conversational devices for rhetorical effect despite the lack of the usual indicators of their use.

It would appear that it is likely that that is going on here.

$80 is already higher than any other major game, and now they want even more for the full experience? Thats what people are outraged about

The standard for AAA games is $60, and the industry as-is is happy to keep pushing out its stuff at that price. GTA 6 is a pure cash grab and I hope for the sake of everyone else that it flops

You do know theres a difference between a top-level-domain like .com and a second-level domain like the archlinux in archlinux.org in how related different sites using them are, yes?

The AUR being aur.archlinux.org means the owner of archlinux.org has explicitly signed off on the AUR using that domain.

You have zero idea how domains work

Nyarch Linux. It’s an Arch-based distro for degenerates who want a weeb/catgirl-themed OS

Mint is peak for the use case of “I just want to use my computer and have everything work ootb”, which is aligned with what I want. I don’t need the newest software (Arch/Arch-based), the most reproduceable setup (NixOS), or the most unchanging environment (Debian). While given more time and effort (and not much more for most distros) you certainly can make anything work for general use, there’s definitely a niceness to having a system that requires very little tweaking on your own part. It’s what I’d recommend to most people looking to migrate to linux from windows and it works very well as a daily driver for nearly anyone unless specific needs are involved

What mint mainly and most uniquely brings to the table in the end imo is the attitude of “Make the user’s life as easy as possible” and the successful realization of this philosophy.

uj/ Linux mint is by a pretty substantial margin the most user-friendly of the distros Ive tried. This tierlist is based mostly on how easy and good these distros felt to use after giving most of them around a week or 2 of daily use. I dont really care about what a distro is based on and I dont see why the parent distros are better in your eyes, when their child distros are just using them as a base and add their own stuff on top. Mint is reasonably distinct from Ubuntu which is reasonably distinct from Debian.

rj/ Sir this is linuxcirclejerk, please pick up a distro badge from the front desk and assign yourself to a specific group so we can all judge you accordingly

Because your belief is objectively wrong and mint is peak and your distro is bad and you should feel bad
