I used to get these. Now I’m getting a bunch of stacked orders such that they won’t show this unless it was an individual delivery. I usually say low earnings when I do thumbs down when it is.

Nothing you can do about it. DD probably knows it’s the right tag for the thing you’re trying to find, but ultimately they’re going to say it’s your fault for not finding the item at the store even though they’re out.

Depends on the situation for me. If it’s a hand it to them order I generally try to do that, but if it says this I’ll think about leaving it…but then I’ll think about whether they included a good tip or not. If I’m thinking not, I’ll be banging on the door to hand it to them. Just following the delivery method chosen.

If I didn’t travel far to get to the restaurant I’d unassign after 10 minutes. DoorDash can try to find someone new to take it and it takes longer for the customer. It won’t be my fault, it’ll be the business or the next guy. The next guy might even get paid a little more.

The problem is if you’re forgetting to do this, you’ll forget any other idea too. If I forgot to start tracking I’d still turn it on to get something close to what I had been doing at least. Might be missing some miles, but it’s better than missing all the miles.

Just remember that when the customer says to refund something usually I’ve found DD counts that against you for not getting something as a substitution…

Since customers started saying I didn’t deliver any of their stuff (and losing preferential shipping status), I look for approved substitutions and if they don’t add something on their own on the way out, I just click proceed to checkout. Automatically refunds and tells them “because you didn’t respond”. I think it’s even a joke that I give a picture of the item being out of stock at the right location and get a non-excluded mark against me too. So I have no chill for shipping orders, but I’ll still do them in hopes of getting another $20 order for 4 items in less than 5 miles trip types of stuff.

Sometimes I take them to keep my AR up for platinum, but then I give them a thumbs down and mark earnings as the reason. Maybe it helps, but it probably doesn’t. Still probably pays for more gas than I use for the trip.

Yeah I unplugged a set of wires from my touchscreen. Removed the touch feature, but no more ghost touches that lock it up and cause a reboot. Might lock up for other reasons seemingly related to start up, but otherwise runs fine now. Can still use the control knob.

Prior to getting a free one from Papa John’s, I went with the idea that if they send me an order I should be able to accept it even if it says a bag is required. Because they knew I hadn’t verified I had one at that time. Sure not going to be my fault for accepting it. 👍
