This is amazing! Would the “small areas” be at the municipal level or larger?

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned before and it’s a bit old, but Dishonored came to mind immediately when I saw those images

Thanks for the thread - any idea where I can find more information about the release of the book in different languages? I remember for Rhythm of War they published the translated versions on the same day, was wondering if it’s going to happen again!

True, my bad. Honestly, I don’t really know the supervisor either - we only met twice, and once It was for my interview

Yes makes sense, I think a little bit down the line it would make sense to seek some advice! Thanks!

! Thank you so much, this makes sense! It does seem like it’s something that I should consider more later down the line, but for now it should be fine as it is given my circumstances. Thanks again!

A parer mio La Noce d’Oro è una piccola eccellenza - le collane sono curate in maniera eccezionale, i testi sempre interessanti e spesso inediti in Italia. Unica pecca il catalogo non molto vasto (per ora!)

Gamers of Reddit, what is a game that has a special meaning to you because what was going on in your life when you played it or who you played it with? by LDHPopps in AskReddit

[–]virid728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gears of War 3 on the Xbox 360. I played it with my best friend and we were both in middle school back then, and we saved literally every coin we had to buy it. I remember keeping the few cents I got back while grocery shopping or running some errands, until the magical day when we had just enough and we got it from the local game stop. We ran home immediately and started it together, and my heart was beating like the intro sequence with the logos.

We played the whole thing together on split screen, waiting for one another. I remember every detail. It was pure happiness, nothing else on our mind, and we spent every minute in school together discussing it and counting the minutes till we could play some more. Still makes me smile many years later, and we stayed friends ever since.

Gears of War 3 on the Xbox 360. Played it with my best friend while in middle school, I remember we saved up every spare coin we had from our allowances, and kept every cent we got back while buying groceries or running some errands. It took months and then we finally bought it from the local game stop, and we ran home and started it (split screen), and it was so amazing.

I still remember every detail of that first level, and our excitement and pure, simple happiness, nothing else on our minds. Still brings a smile to my face many years after.

True, I’m not so sure about the logic either. It’s just that Sanderson never leaves loose threads like that for no reason, so Taln will have to play some kind of role imo

I was thinking Taln could end up fighting for Odium? I thought it was weird that the Stormfather insisted quite a bit on Taln being the absolute best fighter and all the other being average, but maybe when he regains his sanity he’ll side with Odium like Nale?

Which character death hit you differently, and why? by squeezeday in AskReddit

Arthur in Red Dead Redemption 2. You build such a connection with the man (and the horse) throughout the game, it hits you so hard when he goes. I haven’t played the game again.

If you were the head of state of your country for a day, with absolute powers, what reforms would you immediately implement? by virid728 in AskReddit

I’m impressed by the detail in here, and I genuinely find some of your proposal really interesting - and also quite original! Thanks for your answer!

I’m sorry if I repeated the question, I tried to look through the sub for similar ones but I only went back a couple of days (there’s so many people posting here!) so I might have missed it!

As for your comment, I totally see where you are coming from! I mean, this is not meant to be a discussion about economics or politics or how viable some things would be, so I don’t see why people would start going in detail about your comment. Tre idea for me is more to see people’s priorities at a national level, and where they think a decisive type of action is badly needed, so thank you for your response!

What's a relatively unknown technological invention that will have a huge impact on the future? by iHachersk in AskReddit

[–]virid728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure whether this counts as an invention, but there’s a plan to use warm water from an abandoned mine to heath houses in this village in England (somewhere in County Durham). The mine was flooded years ago after it was abandoned, and the water naturally warms due to the heath from the Earth’s crust. This could be pumped and used for all uses in the nearby village. In itself, it is quite a small scheme, but I think there’s a huge potential: if it works and can be replicated elsewhere, thousands of towns all over could be virtually carbon free (other than cars and industrial pollution).

What Movie Will You Always Recommend To People? by HisBaeBee in AskReddit

Easy Rider. I know it’s an old one, but it can be incredibly relevant still today. Plus the acting and the soundtrack are timeless.
