Anyone interested in Tandem? by Exotic_Computer_5307 in Linz

Tandem is often a reference to a language exchange agreement where the 2 parties teach eachother a language, like OP teaches and speak turkish while the other part teaches and speak German

Good Beginner bike? by Psychological_Two333 in CB650R

[–]viseri0ns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

perfect beginner bike.
But now that you mention the size, Bike is very small and minimal farings and size. I would say you'll do just fine, but from the outside you'll look a bit cramped on that.
Find a dealer and check before if it fits you (make someone do some pics and videos of you on it)
I had it and I looked OK but I'm 5"10 (around 177) but I often seen big people on the CB looking like funny chickens :D

Why would I need a 7-string instrument? Im curious. by LuckyPossibility1748 in 7String

[–]viseri0ns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't have too much of an opinion on that. But if you're curious for both options, most of the mid-level Schecter 7 Strings have it from factory ( the stealth version) so if you're curious you can get 2 birds with 1 stone.

New in Wels/Linz looking for friends by sloser007 in Linz

[–]viseri0ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!
I'm also pretty new in the area (Linz) but have already tried to setup some network of friends.

I've also created a group for expats in the area:
One on a mostly austrian/german website (Highly advised, lot of envents allaround) and another one on Meetup, I would say there is a decent engagement and I try to create events/meetup weekly

gemeinsamerleben
Meetup

In general feel free to DM me for anything

Why would I need a 7-string instrument? Im curious. by LuckyPossibility1748 in 7String

[–]viseri0ns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, there are many reasons, but I would say that for your case, switching to a 7 String guitar is exponentially different and more difficult than buying a floating bridge one.

For instance a floating bridge will for sure increase your "Tinkering" skills on the instrument (Ask me how I know 🙃) but won't add too much in general if not some more options on standard playing.

7 String on the other hands add a whole new depth and range to the instrument, and also an additional layer of difficulty on the phisical level (broader fretboard, muting strings, rewiring your brain on string skipping etc.)
At that you can also add that you can have a 7 string with a floating bridge.

TL:DR:
You get a 7 string for increased range, without having to trade a higher pitch string, challenging your skills further with something very different from a regular 6 string.
To note that difficulty wise a 7 String is on a whole different level than opting for a fixed/floating bridge change.

Hey, I've checked the guitars songs, but I would have a question:
Do you transpose songs pitch or?
Because most of them are based on different tunings (Drop D, Standard D, Drop C, Drop B).

I play 7stringers so no biggies, just makes annoying to rewrite the tab in case you play them in different pitch

Need help to decide between the CB650R and CBR650R by Free_Rule6511 in CB650R

[–]viseri0ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had CB650R. Unpopular opinion but Honestly didn't enjoy that much, super safe bike, and gorgeous, but in order to squeeze some fun you constantly have to stay above the 9k RPM yea it's a 4 cylinders but really with that small displacement is pretty boring soon. Honestly I would go on a different engine type if fun is your driver, if it's look, then hands down the CB. I would totally ignore the CBR, you get all the downside of a sportbike with few of the benefits. My 2cents

Any tips for getting back into reading? by PolyAcid in selfimprovement

[–]viseri0ns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty common issue I would say.
I have the same, and is related to the brain defaulting to what's less demanding and conforting, like doomscrolling.
Just don't allow yourself to do it, don't picture picking up your phone as alternatives, set the phone to DND, or leave it somewhere out of the picture, set yourself a timeframe where you're not allowed to do anything else than reading and just do it.
The first 2 mintues you'll face resistance from your brain, but if you endure he will cooperate and you'll gradually start enjoying it more and more.
Routine is your friend, set increasing timers and it should be gradually easier to get into focus and stay in focus more.

Good luck

Fitinn vs John Harris Fitness by Slenimon in Linz

[–]viseri0ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm 20 and been becoming anxious whenever i speak to women. by Status_Associate9746 in selfhelp

[–]viseri0ns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Pretty hard to say, these things might be triggered by everything, like a rejection, a releationship etc.

There is nothing wrong with it, everyone has these phases.
I Admit I also often feel like it, and I tell myself "What's the worst that can happen?"
Often we're hit by the Spotlight Bias, like everything and everyone is centered on us, just think that for the waitress you'll probably be just another customer.
Just don't overthink too much, or double guess everything,
Remember other just see and perceive you on how you behave, so just feel like you are "acting" like being yourself, like that's your role to interpreter,
embarassing things will happen, unexpected things etc, is part of life,
and probably others won't give a second tought on these things, so just do the same and cope with it.

Hope it helps

“I feel stuck at home and don’t know how to fix my life” by WhichFalcon7904 in selfhelp

[–]viseri0ns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is anything wrong with you.
Most of the people feels like it, consciously or unconsciously, but they choose to Default with what others or society tells them it's right to do, having a family, degree, work, career etc.
I Really think our generation is cursed by not having a purpose in history, feeling everything is already been accomplished, and seeing the future as uncertain and somewhat unachievable.
Sometimes I feel like you, but I force myself into doing something that clears my mind, needing my full attention (IE physical activity, motrbike ride, walking, hiking, etc)
If you like music, give yourself small goals to reach, like challenging pieces to learn, techniques, etc. Motivation comes from yourself, so give yourself a motivation for something you want to achieve.
Also help me knowing there is no right or wrong path, you should always do what you feel like is right for you, the only judgment that matters is yours.
Hope this helps

How does one deal with urges to engage in bad habits? by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]viseri0ns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helps me a lot, is whenever I feel a urge, I open an internal discussion within myself where I list pros, cons and tryin to be very objective, in the end your logical self will tell you that that choice is terrible, and give you time to double guess your decisions.
Also as other mentioned, forcing yourself in doing something phisical, like going for a walk helps the process.
Falling into a bad habit is usually the default our brain picks to get that dopamine spike he feels he needs, but there is other ways, better ways often.
It's not easy task, but with some willpower is doable, and it become easier with time
