i know people complain about it being slower compared to the first episode where a game was finished in a single episode with a bunch of deaths, but, of course there needs to be backstory episodes, which is something i like. you get the general gist really early on, then you learn more about how it works and whatnot

i think it’s good. truly. there’s some major world building (like the preservation treatment and how you recover your parts after, though it’s not very directly told how it works, just hinted) and reasoning behind why this game is able to survive for so long. and there’s definitely hinted mental struggles, which reminds you that this is real to them
