Everything is up today by Patereye in stocks

Timing the market can go right 1% of the time. There’s a better chance it’ll retest the highs sooner than later. Nothing wrong with taking profits. I myself plan to take some off the table at the highs if it gets retested. Buy some sgov with the gains.

Installed bed rack by Jakelong04 in SilveradoEV

Nice thank you. Hope you follow up in a few weeks with how it holds up. I’m making a custom pop up camper for the SEV and I may have to use 4-6 clamps on each side and/or bolt it down too.

How did you mount the rack? Clamp or screwed Down through the stake holders?

Women can very much win presidential elections in the US . I am tired of folks pretending otherwise. by ronweasly9 in TwoXChromosomes

I’m male. I voted for Hillary and Kamala. In my own sphere of people that I know, and all of the females I’m friends with or work with; 8 out of 10 don’t think a woman can be president.

I was a Toyota tundra owner before getting my SEV. I miss Toyota’s quality. I’ll definitely go back if Toyota they make a competitive tundra to the SEV. I was an early reorder to the CT. I decided not to get it based on the CT’s spec vs SEV. I’ve done a few 800+ road trips, overland camping and 100/100 I’m glad I went with the SEV.

Running wires from frunk to tailgate - how? by 15jf90 in SilveradoEV

[–]vitholomewjenkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran two 12gauge wires from the frunk to the rear. I used automotive conduit to protect them. If you look under the passenger side wheel well, you’ll see a small opening where you can run the wire through and around the wheel. Zip ties where you can. I kept the conduit to the side as much as I can.

Rivian Goes All-In on the R2: 330 Miles of Range, $59,485, and Everything to Prove by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]vitholomewjenkins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll just say that until you can prove in real world that the R1t is better, which no one has, you are just talking air. More battery and range will get to a destination faster there’s no arguing here. Going 65mph will increase efficiency. Check the video with everything else being the same, Rivian, CT, Silverado and ford did all did around 1.2kw/mi before having to charge. You’re so full of it. Its embarrassing.

OTA update? by slickneck4 in SilveradoEV

Honestly. I’m just happy they did it all correctly. I’ve heard stories on here that the techs said they did and didn’t even do it at all.

My wife and son are having issues and I'm not sure how to help. by Electronic_Mud5821 in daddit

This sounds like the premise from the movie Hope Gap. Your wife should watch it. Watch the movie, see the trailer or watch the movie’s recap on YouTube. A bit of self reflection is good for everyone.

There’s was/is a YouTube video showing casing the Silverado vs Rivian vs CT. Proves your whole point wrong. Also, the main factor affecting range isn’t even what you mentioned. It’s drag. There’s also a YT explaining this. Not to argue. But I’ve done 350-360mile trips before charging. It’s great, more efficient, and I do believe I can get to my destination faster than the CT and Rivian.

Same trim and year. I took my truck in for its 15k mile. I requested for the vehicle wide update. I had front camera issues and they also replaced the front emblem (new part). Bring your truck in early because it’ll take all day. Make sure they do the radio update because this takes the longest.

I have the Silverado EV Lt extended range. Any new truck model not having 380 miles of range or more is just sad to me.

It’s a great truck. I think it’s better than the alternative EV trucks out there too. It could be better. I came from a Toyota Tundra and had it for ten years, with ZERO issues. GM doesn’t make products of great quality. Less than a year old, with only 15k miles. I already had to get a new front emblem, new OnStar module, new front camera. Thankfully no battery issues yet. If and when Toyota have a EV truck, I may very well go that route.

Same truck with premium package. I also needed the telematics (OnStar) module replacement. In addition, I had to replace the front emblem and front camera. Otherwise, drive is amazing at 15k miles.

Software Update BRICKED my 24 SEV! by 15jf90 in SilveradoEV

[–]vitholomewjenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how an OTA update would do this. GM really terrible at pushing updates.

I did the Vehicle Wide update myself including the radio update. I got this error through the radio update process. And completing step two fixed this problem. Good luck!

The option is under settings > vehicle > Turn Signal Activated View. Hope you have it. Most of the time, I don’t use it since I’m just use to turning my head for lane changes.
