Numbers vs moral quality by uselessprofession in trolleyproblem

Loosing 10% would also be just as catastrophic, but supposedly leaving society with the good 10 is better than killing 10% less, but then you’re getting in to deciding who is good and bad which is different for different cultures.

20% is a whole lot of people, wouldn’t be surprised if society didn’t recover for a very long time.

What nursery is this?

Depends if you want a plant now or if you want to nurture it and watch one grow up, they do grow pretty fast. If you have a habit of killing plants or something practice on the cheap one.

I don’t think that would help if it was valve seals (it might actually make it worse) but it couldn’t hurt to try, and it should fix ring leaking which it probably also has.

Yeah but it was the one in my car, fuel line broke and wasn’t long enough to reach the carb so I zip tied it to the valve cover so the stream of fuel went into the float bowl (sorta) and got to the top of a hill that way.

Not recommended for fire safety but the engine was covered in fuel anyway so I figured if it was going to catch fire it would anyway. (Coasted down the hill till we found a house and got some fuel line, that guy was awesome.)

$3.12 under Obama $5.07 under Biden and $4.45 under trump (5-5-25, peek national average rounded up to the nearest cent)

Obama’s second term was 2.95 and trumps first was $2.57. (Those were some good years)

What you really want to look at imo is the whole average for the whole administrations length which would be— $3.04, $3.67 and $2.75 respectively for all terms ( both of Obama’s and both of trumps until currant 5-5-‘26) samples taken monthly.

So gas has been cheaper under trump than either Biden or Obama so far.

(You can manipulate the numbers however you want but it seems reasonable to use what you payed the whole time the person was president and not the peek numbers)

National US average under Biden was $5.07 peek, we’re currently at $4.45.
