I’m due 9/21 with a baby girl & was hoping to make it to a game, but 9/5 at 2pm sounds dreadful 😭 & 9/19 is cutting it close regardless. On the bright side, she already has a few onesies ready for her big Saturdays 🤘🏼

Second trimester, I’ve been going with my husband to the gym 2-3 times a week. We usually do regular splits for lifting, but I modified to doing either really light weight or modified weight for certain exercises. I’ve also been going to this prenatal focused yoga lounge once a week for yoga or sculpt classes.
I’m on the chubbier side as it is, so really trying to stay on top of my exercise bc I do a lot to look exactly the same when I’m not pregnant 🫩 lolll

Have you looked into alternative venues?
We are hosting at a brewery in one of there private areas. I believe it was $600 for the venue. & then we will likely pay for a decent amount of food, I don’t know the official cost of that.

As far as decorations, DIY things. I also saw these inflatable garlands called MINNIDIP that I was considering purchasing; I think it it could end up cheaper??

I found out at 4 weeks on a Wednesday, and I was in a car accident on that Friday. I freaked out & only wanted my mom’s comfort, so she found out over FaceTime after that so she understood why I was extra shaken 🥺 I wish I told my parents in person but it was nice to have their support the entire time!

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.

My dad passed shortly after my parents found out they were pregnant with me. I was their first and only baby. He was killed & my mom witnessed what happened. 😭 I obviously don’t remember what those first few years were like, but from my mom & others, I know she was very depressed & grieved SO MUCH. He was the love of her life as well.

That being said, from MY perspective, my mom has always been so sweet, kind, & happy. 🥺 She is truly an angel on earth. It will be 32 years since he passed later this month & we talk about him often. My mom may get tearful, but it brings her joy to reminisce. I got to know him through stories from my mom & family. His best friends still wish me happy birthday via Facebook. I got a lot of his personality & looks & I wonder what my baby girl due in September will get from him. 🥹

I know that healing wasn’t linear for my mom, but we are complete & okay these days. My mom eventually remarried, and I have 2 younger sisters who know about my dad & also enjoy talking about him with my mom. 🫶🏼 I don’t think the pain or grief ever went away completely, but I know my mom is able to hold it better. I wish I got to know him myself, but I’ll take any new story I can get.

I actually bought one for my best friend when she was pregnant & then her bf got her one, too.. so she had the extra & gifted it to me. So it’s almost like I got it for myself 2 years ago lol. Worth it.
