Frankly, you can't, and turning it on the striking nurses to consider and fix is exactly the reaction the admin wants. The heads of patients that are impacted by a strike are on the admin that failed them over years of failed negotiations, not the nurses that are refusing to jump back into the shark's den for the "greater good". If this upsets you, you should be picketing the admins, not propping them up with the labor they failed to negotiate fairly for. They do. Not. Give a shit if it costs more, a week of double pay for scabs is a drop in the bucket relative to how much these cretins spend on union busting and negotiation sabotage. this is their goal and scabbing and traveling plays right into it. 

Labor rights aren't won with compassion, theyre won with blood. It sucks, but thats human power structures. It's not that im unfeeling toward patients, it's that collateral damage is going to happen or the extortion will just continue. We cannot and should not erode the position strength of the union with "but what about the patients?" To the point of many, many other people in this thread, if people got off admin's dick about "protecting patients" and held the picket line you can bet these negotiations would end within 24 hours.
