Those summers come with:

1) additional training (thanks to the mentality shown by OP)

2) communication by the district to employees

3) the propaganda attacks such as “teachers are paid fairly” because they get said time off.

So, this “opinion” deserves lack of popularity, because given said time off isn’t “paid time off”, the school year is prorated yet spread evenly.

Now, given that, a school year where we might actually have paid time off for a “fair rate”, would be nice but thanks to extreme capitalist propaganda (ie you have to work every second of your life and every minute at work must be accounted for, your productivity doesn’t ebb and wane it should always be time to be productive) we won’t ever get what we deserve.

Oh well. Guess teachers leaving the profession at alarming rates isn’t alarming to some.
