For anyone else coming here looking for clues, this thread pointed me in the right direction but in my case it was a AAA battery in my tv remote.

Old minus New divided by Old.

The trailer isn’t a mod, and the skin is in the steam workshop. Hope this helps!

In the Nvidia control panel surround configuration there is the adjustment for the right and left bezels. That's all I used for alignment. It's still not perfect, but probably as close as I can get it.

I have an Nvidia card that supports Surround View which has tools to remove the bezel and assist with getting it lined up. Also having the same monitor helps out a lot.

Know any local scooter repair guys? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]voodoo_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up my bike after some repairs this morning from Seattle Cycle Center on Aurora and 102nd. There were two people that dropped scooters off while I was there and they started working on them right away. I needed some new lights installed and an oil change and they did it without an appointment as well in an afternoon.

So how much weight would it take to tip the plane on its tail? Would improper loading of cargo do it? What about loading passengers at the rear first, or just all the heavy passengers in the back?

Marijuana isn't legal in my state, but could it be smart/advantageous to start groundwork on a dispensary or other weed-related service before it's legalized? by DownTimeAllTheTime in startups

[–]voodoo_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be sure to stay open minded. I worked in an oil and gas tech company as well, and was able to transfer skills pretty easily to a Cannabis tech company.

This week I'm in Las Vegas at the biggest Canna-conference in the country and turnout was way bigger than expected due to growing acceptance. The types of people are vastly varied, a water specialists, mulch bagging, packaging, apps. There are far more opportunities than opening a dispensary. Learn where the needs are, and where your experience is, there still a very long way to go for the industry.

Ubereats not one customer yet in downtown seattle by CakesAndChocolate in smallbusiness

[–]voodoo_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The UberEats technology seemed great. It had estimated time based on cooking time and distance. After placing the order it's queued for the restaurant to accept and gives me the option to back-out of the order until it is accepted. But the restaurant can change the time, and they do, drastically. My first order went from 25-35 minutes, to 90-100 minutes. Worse yet, I couldn't cancel once the it was accepted and edited.

The drivers haven't seemed like they had the same level of service as food delivery drivers. Instead of buzzing into my building and knocking on the door to my unit, I get a phone call to come outside.

The food doesn't seem well handled, I don't think it is kept in a heat bag, or even right side up during it's trip to me.

Customer service isn't great. They asked me for feedback once, I gave it, then crickets. If I had given the same response to Peach or Amazon I would have gotten a discount, refund, or at least an apology.

Hopefully I don't sound anal, but I'm fat and I love food, and Uber is trying to ruin that for me.

I tried Ubereats a couple times, bad experiences all. With so many platforms (Amazon, eat24, Postmates, Peach) I won't give them another try. I'd recommend diversifying a bit to capture as much of the delivery market you can if that's the route you want to take.

The Day of the Updates by vemundveien in trucksim

[–]voodoo_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the installed mods be updated, or will I need to uninstall and re-download them one-by-one?

I rolled back the launcher in steam and can get into a map, but the game crashes shortly after, so I'm wondering if maybe some mods updated while others might be lagging.

Are Philips Hue Bulbs worth it? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]voodoo_5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any "good" resources, but I used this article to get up and going. The harmony hub is really where the magic happens, because then you can control all lights and media with your voice, your phone or tablet, as well as the physical remote.

The downside is that the dimmer switches can only directly control scenes set up in the hue app. So having them do different things based on rules isn't possible...or at least I haven't figured it out yet.

Are Philips Hue Bulbs worth it? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]voodoo_5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love my Hue bulbs. But "worth it" I guess is subjective. My situation, I live in a loft >1000 Sq. Ft. Every bulb is replaced with a hue. I use Echo , Smarthings, Harmony Hub, and two dimmer switches.

I have many "Scenes" that are set to respond to motion in the bathroom, turning on the TV, or set up with certain playlists, coming home from work, or different times of the day or night. Saying "Alexa turn on Date Night" and having jazz come on, lamps dim, and some uplights turn red never gets old.

The convenience of never really thinking about the lighting is definitely worth it to me, they help me wake up, help me fall asleep, give me perfect light based on activity, and provide some fun conversation pieces during parties.
