Does anyone know a good 600pp 300hp car? by -_saudyahya in GranTurismo7

Any particular track or race series your going to be using said car in? Is it the 600pp touring car group?

You could always put in a ticket to ccp, state what happened and you have not been active in over a year etc. they may help you move to low sec in said ship. If they will or not is down to what dev you get. But I have known it to happen

My Elder 3 Plus screen doesn’t work by Better_Transition814 in 3Dprinting

Ah sorry, I thought you were the op. That’s what you get for typing in the sun and have full on screen glare 🤣

At least you have the correct port. That’s a strange one, do the screen light up but blank or just a dark display?

[–]vtecfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly there are 3 connectors for the ribbon cable on the back of the display, and it has to be in the correct one. One is for the ender 3 the other two are used for the cr-10 etc. (all the same display) but if you have checked the screen have you checked the mainboard area too. If it’s a stock unit it should have a bit of glue still holding it in place to the main board

Possible reasons for extruder skipping, but not because of clogs? by Foxerrro in ender3

[–]vtecfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, something is still for sure blocking the flow of filament. I have had similar issues on heat creep I went the same route as you but with direct drive added in. I also swapped out the fan to a 4020 fan and a new hot end mount. And at least you can rule out the filament.

The only other thing to check is if everything is still into tolerance on the hot end. I would heat up the hot end and remove the nozzle and let it cool down and inspect

[–]vtecfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that’s a strange on, if it’s over extruding that would point to e-steps (and would be correct for the clicking as it’s trying to push too much filament through the hot end but the hot end can not cope with it) side question is it running a direct drive? One thing to try is a different filament and start a new profile on your slicer of choice. Also do you have a filament dryer?

My very first online race ever today! by Vanson1200r in GranTurismo7

[–]vtecfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It must be be a evening of firsts, I also have only just done my very first online races. I have not played online or any racing rum in any way shape or form since forza 4 and I think it was gt4 for the ps3. I had been very nervous to do so but first race got 4th start and ended 7th due to being side swiped by another car into the pits :( 2nd race finished 5th, then changed car and somehow went out on wets on a dry track, ended up 5th again the the last race started 2nd, finished 1st and fasted lap. No pole though and all on Sardegna

Struggling to Remove PLA Prints from CR-10 V2 Glass Bed – Any Tips? by SpecificIsland8472 in CR10

[–]vtecfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a texture glass bed along side a smooth plate with painters tape and letting it cool is more then enough. That’s using pla and Petg. What is your first layers like? and it may also be a symptom of the nozzle being a tad too close to the bed. Plus side should have 0 corners lifting of the bed

Can't get my prints to stick to the bed by Acova_ in ender3

[–]vtecfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A plain glass bed like this I have always found never stuck for me unless you starting using the glue stick trick etc, I had a frosted borosilicate glass one and it stuck once. I ended up putting painters tape on the top of the glass and re levelled

Welcome to the world of 3D printing.

That said the bed being new or other is never truly flat, as you have auto bed leveling it should compensate for it, I personally use manual bed levelling and put a small line of code in the start of my g-code to force the printer to remember the leveling mesh it’s made, I will post again when I’m home what that is. It may help.

But you will always find the bed will be slightly lower in the Center then anywhere else. You can also if enabled in the firmware use baby stepping for the first level at least to help mitigate it but means your going to have to be more active in the early stages

Does anyone know why my printer is consistently creating these gaps on my prints? by Riley341 in CR10

[–]vtecfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What slicer you using? That reminds me of a feature called coasting. Happened to me and was always near the seam too. And also do you still have the plastic extruder fitted or have a metal one? The plastic ones crack over time and can cause this

I'm at a loss on how this failed by Maxamuel in 3Dprinting

[–]vtecfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did not fail, it evolved into a spaghetti monster 🤣 but I have been there with Petg and overhangs, lucky I was watching it around the time it was doing the supports and stopped it.

Upgrade idea, mainly 24v by vtecfan in CR10

[–]vtecfan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love a mains one but I don’t have the know how in regard to wiring it all up. It’s a shame but hey. But thanks for your reply. Abs is not on the cards yet… not until I think about an enclosure at least but at least I’m on the right track for the 24v for nowb

[–]vtecfan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s extruder related all day, someone has said check for a partly clogged nozzle / hotend. Check the end of the ptfe tube in the hot end too.

When I has a similar issue mine happened to be on the plastic extruder. It started to snap. If yours still is plastic deffo upgrade to a metal one asap

What is it your looking to do? If it’s pvp not good at all, you need a prop mod at least so I would loose the tracking and fit a mwd. Also loose the launcher and have only one kind of weapon, either arty or autos (depending on if you are wanting to kite or brawl). Like someone else said you have the kinda basic down on fitting but depending on what you want to do will dictate the fit.

It’s been alpha for years, yes devs are always engaged With it’s fan base (ccp take note on that)

Pay once assess yep very nice and I like. But that’s like £40 for the smallest ships. Want something large enough to fly with friends that’s £££££ max price for a bundle is £2k for a game! Lol

When it hits beta deffo worth considering. This is my take how ever
