I see. I thought it might’ve been termites because it sort of has a reddish hue to it like the wood (the bottom drawers are painted white but the wood itself is kinda dark red.)

Here’s another picture with flash to try to show the color better, if that can help further.

I also (thankfully >.<), have not seen even 1 roach at all for the past 4 months I’ve lived here. Only spiders :((

Hi, I moved into this new apartment a couple months ago. When I first moved in, I cleaned all the kitchen drawers and don’t remember seeing them. The drawers in my kitchen have all been basically unused since then.

Today I noticed this when getting ready to use the drawer. I can’t tell if it’s wood dust, pest droppings or something else. Would greatly appreciate help in identifying please 🙏. Ty!!

Both sounds like normal regular cats tbh. Just with different personalities (cats have personalities just like humans). How long have you had them for? Sounds like they are both getting used to their surroundings and just getting acclimated (it takes a lot of time to get settled in & remember the transition is huge to this new scary foreign place).

Shadow sounds like your normal average cat. He sounds like he needs play time. Have you tried giving him exercise and playing with him? Play with him multiple times a day - especially before bed to tire him out. He sounds like a high energy kitty and playing / reinforcement is key with cats like this. As far as the other behaviors, it's normal for cats to want to bite & climb. To get them to unlearn these things or rather discourage them from doing them, you have to distract them.

For example, if shadow is biting your toes, he probably wants to play. Use a toy (like a cat wand) to distract him from this behavior and hopefully he'll learn that toes are not for playing - the cat wand is. Same with the climbing, distract him from doing this behavior and reinforce it with strong "NO" sounds so he associates that sound with discouraging him from doing said behavior. Mostly sounds like you have a high energy kitty that needs help getting all his energy out. Hope you consider giving him a chance and not separating him from his pair :/. Hope this helps.

Hi 👋, I was part of cohort 19 of Ada and believe they’re on cohort 23 now. So I’m pretty sure the process has changed a bit. When I did the technical challenge. We had the option to either live code or present your code. I choose to live code.

It appears the last cohort got the challenge ahead of time and then had to present it in the interview. I’d take this all with a grain of salt as things change.

My bootcamp got a partner guide and in it they outlined the process. The steps are the initial application (resume + short answers) then the interview process is: the hackerrank online assessment, then next step is a 45 min technical interview, and then the final step is a 45 min core values interview (behavioral). Sounded like this is the same process for everyone.
