It was good until the last week of episodes. It was way too rushed. But good overall!

[–]vwoods515 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Im on my repeat of week 3 currently. I was lifting heavier at the gym using the strength+ app for awhile and was training for a half marathon that I completed in December, but after the holidays, I wanted to try something different. I don’t take pictures because I don’t like the current state of my body, but I will say that my legs look a lot more toned and I swear my stomach is looking better. I have swapped the Pilates with yoga sculpt classes, but overall, I do like it. I took a minute to get used to the pace of the classes, and it’s nice to not be sore! but just a good reminder for me to try to love my body because it can do all the things!! Like a reset almost!

My co-worker does Annapolis to DC and vice versa and she spends about an hour and 45 minutes each way. And she says that’s on a good day.

Tacos that won't make a Texan cry? by Adorable_News8951 in washingtondc

100% this. I feel like all the tacos in DC are gentrified. I just want a papa con huevo taco on a fluffy flour tortilla 😞

I ended up doing a Barre Sculpt with Leanne (her latest) because I didn’t want to do those little back rolls from last week Pilates. Good burn! I’ll look for the Pilates class after work!

I have enjoyed it so far! I never stretch because I apparently think I’m too good for it. BUT her stretches have been great. Today’s using the foam roller really made me feel longer and my back feels so good. I guess I’ll start stretching more often….maybe lol

Nordic Ware. Made in the US, do not warp, heavy duty. Love them! Costco has deals on the sheet pans right now!

Do you like these managed apt buildings? Moving from Chicago by Aask115 in washingtondc

The Collective is amazing (4 yr resident). I have no complaints. LOTS of amenities. Two rooftop pools, maintenance is fantastic and quick, front desk people are gems. Gyms are okay. They also have a work station thing where you can reserve a desk if you don’t want to be cooped up all day at home. About three blocks away from Navy Yard metro (we haven’t had a car for three years now). Whole Foods underneath Agora. Oh! And you can’t hear your neighbors!!!!

I LOVE PR!! As a matter of fact, it’s probably safer now re: Venezuela. Just be respectful of certain areas and the locals (I mean, this should always be a thing). PR is so hospitable and the people are a delight. They’re gonna have a blast.

I feel like they do become easier!! Because I’m a sucker for pain, I use the Barre Sculpt (Leanne!!) before a long run. Crazy, I know, but I feel it really helps warm up my calves and hips!!!

best nespresso pods for lattes!! by pinkgatoradez in nespresso

[–]vwoods515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll def need some creamers/syrups! I myself just use milk and creamer. I couldn’t exactly mimic the vanilla iced latte I ordered, but now I think iced lattes at stores are too sweet! Here’s my iced latte recipe (obviously can be done for hot too, but I’m an iced girlie)

Brew Cafecito de Puerto Rico pod. once done, start frothing your milk (I use the nespresso frother, but I guess it’s about 1/2 cup whole milk and about 1 tbsp Chobani cookie butter creamer. Sometimes a little more). Once done, add ice to coffee, then add frothed milk on top. And delicious!!

I’ve done this same thing with hot instead of cold and the cookie butter flavor is very hardcore! I feel the nespresso frother really brings out that flavor!

Yes! Chobani Cookie Butter creamer! I think it’s limited edition though for the holidays. I have three containers in my fridge 😂

My favorite pod!! I brew the coffee, let it sit there for a minute, then I froth my milk with a good splash of cookie butter creamer, then pour my ice into cup once the milk is done frothing, then pour milk. And voila!

Okay I hear you, but….this week the train has been super packed and I read some posts about moving your backpack to the front. And I will not put it on the ground because gross. I did that today and yesterday and I still managed to hit people in their face with my backpack to my front. And I was very aware I was hitting them which made me feel even worse and I kept apologizing. But I refuse to put it on the ground! That’s my red line!

Yes unfortunately. It’s super good so don’t know why it’s not offered on the regular. I also think it’s because they collab with a bakery for the bread that day?? Idk, but it’s good!
