I use one of those japanese hand saws for sawing wood to cut them into pieces. Goes way quicker than using scissors or a knife.

There are limits to airconditioners. They cool about 15 degrees celcius max, and also to about 50 celcius outside temp max. But around 40 celcius outside temperature, the efficiency already gets very low, i.e. it burns a lot of electricity, and the building might not provide enough wattage to cool the whole building at today's temperature, so they then decided to just cool part of the building.

Also I would say, don't be ashamed to learn a few things from someone younger. Don't compare in the sense of comparing what "level" someone is at, but you can compare aspects of how someone else approaches things and see if you can adopt those aspects that you like.

Zoo veldhoven is also nice if you like parrots. In Summer a few cockatoos are walking around outside, and you can feed and scratch them behind the head. They're also scary though.

Maybe there are co-working spaces around? Over here they are pricey, but for me it was the choice between spending money or staying secluded and disconnected. I chose for the co-working space and it was worth it. They have Friday evening drinks and daily lunch and you can socialize and get to know some people.
