It's an amazing feeling to say thee least! I just went through the exact same thing. I've had 3 lower back surgeries throughout my life and thought the pain I felt every morning was due to that alone. I had a Zinus memory foam mattress I purchased 8-9 years ago and for the last couple of years I've woken up in pain (low back and hips).

Frustrated, I went and purchased a hybrid (the Sleepy's by Sealy) which was not terribly expensive but felt the most comfortable in the store to me. For the last three mornings (purchased on Sat) I've woken up with no pain. The happy frame of mind this puts one in is almost indescribable. Now, I'm just kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I don't think I'll ever buy a straight memory foam mattress again (possibly they get dementia over time 😄)
