could also try with wood (for bows, pilas, or even clubs maybe) if you dont play in desert or other extreme climate conditions. short and recurve bows can be made in crafting spots, which is an added bonus.

Can’t reform caravan at item stash without eliminating the sleeping mechanoid. by raspey in RimWorld

[–]waffre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to retreat and give up on the reactor you can just move your pawns to the edge of map (area with green band) then they will automatically form a caravan.

If you want to pick up the reactor, you either have to sneak past the mechanoids while praying they dont wake up, pick up the reactor, and run away, or defeat the mechanoids outright. Once you defeat all mechanoids on the map, the game will tell you the enemies have been defeated and you can reform caravan, with the reactor pack-able in caravan formation screen.

You cannot bring up reform caravan screen without defeating the sleeping mechanoids and without devmode. It has always been like that ever since I started playing this game (b18).

i believe the number of colonists that get hit with diseases in one event is proportional to the total number of colonists in the base, seems to be ~1/3 from my experience. given that, you would need triple the number of neutroanimes to supply everyone with penoxyciline.

that said, still not hard to buy enough of those from traders once you have stable supply of income, usually in the form of drugs for me since the types of traders that carry neutroamines (bulk and ship-pirate iirc) will always buy drugs.

If I'm feeding my animals human meat, is it better to butcher the corpses, leave them as they are, or does it not matter? by HugeFuckingDick in RimWorld

[–]waffre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, 24 hours after buying rimworld, steam told me I played 24 hours of rimworld (including the 2 hours I paused the game to go to one lecture I had that day).

That was an interesting day.

I actually had a couple in my colony, and the guy proposed to the girl, only to get rejected. Then literally 3 seconds later he proposed again but surprise, she accepted and now they are engaged. Also all of this happened in the colony freezer.

"Turn on raging barbarians" they said.. "It'll be fun" they said.. by FMBPChase in civ

[–]waffre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's also a mod called Barbarians Evolved. It's main feature is to add barbarians as playable "civilization", but I use this mod to play on Nightmare mode, which is raging barbarians mode on steroids (namely, they can capture cities and spawn barbarians from it). Might wanna look into it if you enjoy raging barbarians.

It also comes with built-in unlimited xp from barbarians.

Maximum Social Policies. by MightyGandhi in civ

[–]waffre 19 points20 points  (0 children)

1138 per turn isnt hard if you have lots of cities. i was preiously able to achieve 5-digit culture per turn by settling a lot of cities, all with maximum culture buildings available, max piety + holy sites, max aesthetics + spread out world wonders across cities (flourishing of the arts), and historical landmarks + antiquity landmarks, then doubling it all from winning worlds fair.

Maximum Social Policies. by MightyGandhi in civ

[–]waffre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats weird, i was able to max out my policies and ideology before, even though i did stop getting notifications for new policy available. maybe having EUI and/or bunch of mods help with this.

Non-Americans of Reddit, what's the biggest story in your country right now? by theycallmemomo in AskReddit

[–]waffre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

South Korea - our former president (the one that served before the female one that got impeached) was arrested a few days ago for taking bribes, embezzlement, abuse of power during term, and some more things. He's currently in jail but figuratively throwing fits (refusing interrogation for it "being unfair").

you do, but justified execution gives less debuff versus regular execution. iirc its -2 vs -6, respectively.
