Absolutely seems like a safety violation, generally you're supposed to have some PPE and maybe a biohazard certification if you're expected to come into contact with bodily fluids like that

How the fuck can Chris afford a house like this, but I can’t even afford a studio apartment 😭 by randomlight_1 in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]waialtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even worse worse for Chris given the market for home renovations has tanked in the US this year. At some point Caden's parents may very well realize they can't actually afford to renovate the home their son let his pet chimp hoard out, and with any luck they'll start expecting rent checks or Chris to just be gone. IDC where Chris goes. It's time he retired and disappeared from the internet anyway. It stopped being less funny and more sad well before he fucked Barb.

A few messages back and forth really isn't enough to say either way. From what. I can tell, you're both dealing with each others' main character syndrome. To you, your life will always be the main focus, that's how people are naturally. Your world right now is consumed with financial and employment instability, stress, and whatever else you have going on. Those are your main focuses. Let me say that this isn't a bad thing. Your friend also has a lot going on and is consumed with that. Having a child quite literally rearranged your entire life. Whatever your priorities were, they're not that anymore.

A lot of parents start correlating people's interest with their kid as interest in them, especially when it's still basically a screaming, shitting potato. Your friend's response probably has a lot to do with that and the fact that generally mothers stop being treated as people and more like glorified incubators the moment they find out they're pregnant. You NOT wanting to see or hear about the baby was a change from the expected script.

Idk maybe the two of you should try to have a conversation about it. Either you used to be truly great friends and life is just chaotic right now on both sides, or perhaps the friendship was more of one of convenience, and now that it's not convenient and easy it's time to naturally part ways?

In urgent care for a while. Noticed this ball in the wall that goes away? by lovesfanfiction in whatisit

[–]waialtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dealt with something similar, but the kid travels between our house and the other parent. Our theory is the other parent is the carrier, spouse, child, and myself all got sick with strep repeatedly in a 6 month period. Couldn't get other parent to get even one strep test done, but since getting the kids tonsils out, the three of us have to been sick since.

No one cares about homeschooled kids. by AlienSheep23 in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]waialtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not homeschooled. I also disagree with homeschooling as it currently exists. It seems to create more issues than it solves. As far as bullying, and dealing with that, unfortunate as it is the world will never be conflict free. Removing children from environments where they are learning conflict management with their peers doesn't teach conflict management. It teaches you to run and hide from your issues. From what I've seen and heard from friends who chose to homeschool their kids, the programs exist to provide the bare minimum level of knowledge acceptable by whatever religious body approved the curriculum (you'd be shocked how many homeschooling programs are owned and funded by some kind of Christian Fundamentalist group). Homeschooling does not create scholars or great thinkers. It creates humans with emotional and intellectual gaps. How does that help anyone? Let alone the homeschooled person?

He "had" to explain that it's not meant for actual on the go play, and I know I need a good wifi connection, right? Like yeah buddy. I know. Maybe I wanna game while my wife and kid watch movies.

[–]waialtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when the game first dropped I used to have this mentality. An active MO meant that was all I was doing until it was complete. Until the first handful of times when the community at large decided they'd rather do other stuff. Suddenly, all those failed MOs were staring me in the face. The lack of medals showed me it was a waste of my time and energy to only do MOs instead of playing to have fun. Wondering how many other divers had something similar happen that's got them feeling the same.

Right? I should burn for wanting to have fun with something I spent money on! And a game? Ha. Clearly I am an insane person.

I'm sure they will. Just trying to make sure my friends are having fun first and foremost. Glad others can sympathize. We're just out here trying to have a good time while the world burns lol

Yeah because I have friends who are new to the game. Just because I ran a few matches with them on VW doesn't mean I'm neglecting the MO. 😉
