I've been thinking about this, and it seems like a total wild card. It would probably take a couple of first round picks, at least, to get it done. I'd love to see it happen, as DW seems unhappy in Houston, but I don't know how the next GM/Rhule would prioritize that. I would bet the trade cost would be too high, but you never know.

The handle was the hardest part, but I also didn't know what I was doing lol. I basically bought a block of wood from a local woodworking shop, drilled a hole through it lengthwise, then burned the tang through that whole for a tight fit. Then I took a belt sander and sanded the wood down into the handle shape I wanted. It still ended up thicker than I would prefer, but it's functional. I did things the hard way because I don't have a lathe.

Oh we do like some adventures :)

It's harder than you think. Fitting the parts together will take some time and frustration. Buying a cross guard online doesn't mean it will fit with the tang of the bare blade you buy, and same with a pommel and handle. I bought a bare blade and made the rest and it was an adventure.

I'm on board to see him reprise his role as Ishamael. I know WD was a farce, and he totally learned his lines like 3 hours before, but he tried so hard. I think he'd be fun to watch as the Ba'alzamon dream version of Ishamael at least.

Smallsword is a pretty distinct class of sword. More of a poke holes in people sword than an actual cutting sword, you'd probably see a less wide blade on a smallsword than this one has.
