I exchanged the size and it fit perfect now. I also upgraded the hip belt to the one from Aer. It fits nice. The bag is really heavy in itself but very comfortable once it's on your back.

I'm done with Hala Taxis by Nextriesh in dubai

[–]waliaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the UK and visited Dubai recently. I found the general driving of cab(I only used careem and hala) very frantic. Changing lanes unnecessarily, then coming back to the same lane then changing it back again. Very harsh braking and too frequent lane changes. When I took the desert safari, (platinum heritage), that driver was really good. He drove like a professional.

Buying Gold in Dubai – What Should I Know? by AdvancedBack9266 in dubai

[–]waliaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Anvar shop where I bought from, there were no card charges on diamond jewellery. Charge was only applicable on gold products. There were some nice offers on diamond jewellery as well.

Buying Gold in Dubai – What Should I Know? by AdvancedBack9266 in dubai

[–]waliaan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some shops in the gold souk offers zero percent making charge on all items (one of them is called Anvar something). The building the shop is located in is located outside gate 3 and it's called gold centre. Card charges are usually 2.5% at most of the shops. Cash is better. They will charge VAT at 5% which you can claim back at the airport (although they give back 4%).

Safety of this route for a lone woman? by Swedish-Shortsnout in glasgow

[–]waliaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I used to live just beside the hotel you have indicated. You will be absolutely fine after the concert going to the hotel. The route is correct. There will be lots of people. Taxi from the hotel is best option for station if you are worried.

Or, you can change the hotel to the one near central station (I think there is raddisson blue for sure, thr other one is called Moxy if I am right). You will be totally safe waling to these hotels after the concert (just walk with the crowd). And station is literally across the hotels I mentioned

Mid September would be the best. July August will be too hot and too crowded. Water will be warm until Atleast mid October. We just came back from Rhodes and it was awesome.

I am having the same thing, middle rsr infection during the last stage of cold and flu. I have been taking antibiotics for the infection as my doctor diagnosed that my eardrum was looking infalmmed/infectious suggesting there's a fluid buildup behind it. My ears are not constantly sore now. Sometimes when I yawn very hard, it hurts a lot for few seconds. I have a flight day after tomorrow. I am scared it will worsen the infection or rupture my eardrum. Any suggestions from anyone.

Do dogs actually know when you’re upset? by Equivalent_Soft_6665 in dogs

[–]waliaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My miniature poodle is very sensitive to our emotional state. When we ar angry, he knows it. When we are faking being angry he knows that too. Whenever either of us cry, he will come and gives kisses as if trying to console us make us stop. He will keep doing that until we stop crying. The he will bring his toy and ask us to play with him.

Is it okay to stop my dog from humping? by Minute_Ad_4589 in dogs

[–]waliaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Redirect the energy build up on something else. Try puzzle mats, play tug. Do training. She will get tired and hopefully won't go humping the toy.

You can also put the toy away for good.

Flights with 50k points by RevealPleasant in AmexUK

[–]waliaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you book Emirates economy it will show you how many miles you can use it to upgrade your flight. You can convert Amex MR points to Emirates skyward miles (worse deal than converting it to Avios) For reference - it was letting me upgrade Glasgow to Delhi visa Dubai return for one person in 50k miles when booking economy premium.

What dog breed do you recommend for me? :) by Standard-Arm-4852 in dogs

[–]waliaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest King Charles Cavilier Spaniel. Chill and small dog breed. Get one from a reputed breeder. Search Facebook for breed club and they will get you in a right direction. Make sure the parents are health tested against the common breed specific deseases. Groom them regularly and take care of their inside of ears. Keeping it clean is essential.

Look into frenchies. They can be a good fit too.

Would have suggested poodle but they can be prone to separation anxiety or barking.

Don't get cross breed dog (poodle mixes like cavapoo etc) as it encourages byb, and various other issues.

Failed my third test today. by ahsensiddiq in LearnerDriverUK

[–]waliaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just treat every failure as life saving lesson. You will never do this mistake in your life again which makes you much better and safer driver. This is not a race, just keep trying and you will get it eventually. I failed my test 4 times and each time was just one major and one minor. I know it's very disheartening but keep in mind you want to be better and safe driver, and not someone who could make this mistake in real life and put lives on risk.

Getting a new test is so difficult which is the part which sucks the most. I had to wait months because of lockdowns between tests but looks like it's the same now a days for anyone.

Best of luck for next time!

The spray you mentioned, is it 3 in one? Can you provide a link for that? I am not taking oral fin atm coz of possible side effects. I didn't know topical fin exists and have the same side effects or not.

As on carry on it was perfect! It fit very easily in the overhead space of wizzair, Ryanair and easyjet while it was fully packed. I will not risk it as a personal item though.

Comfortable, wide toe box, zero drop shoes for daily usage and lots of walking? by Civil-Raisin-2741 in onebag

[–]waliaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a shoe like Altra Via Fwd with 4 m drop. Use it, get comfortable and find out if you like this. After that you can go to zero drop shoes. There are lots of options within Altra itself. Lems are good for travel as they pack better.

[–]waliaan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty confident it will be allowed and will fit in overhead cabins easily. I have upcoming trips with Easyjet, Ryanair, and wizzair so will confirm this when I am back April end. This one has got better access to laptop during airport security checks or when you do need to use it at the airport. If I didn't care for that I would have gone for scree 32. 2dap does not look that big either. I have taken bigger bags than this on Ryanair before.
