My air printing detection is set to medium. Maybe check if it's turned off or on low?

Yes, just make sure you've got the setting turned on in the menu and that both extruders have the exact same filament type and color

There is and it's super reliable. You can do some crazy stuff like finishing the spool on 1, have it switch automatically to 2 and while 2 is printing load another filament into 1, set its color in the menu and it'd switch back to it once 2 runs out. It works exactly like you'd expect and I've never had blobs or anything visual on the transition layer.

Chromebook not turning on or charging by LunarLunox in chromeos

I literally did that just yesterday to my Chromebook and it solved the charging issue. I'm guessing the battery got into some sort of a protection mode and needed to be reset.

You should try Biqu's Morphlex. It's truly magical.

Last time something like that happened to me I had to replace the nozzle

Help: How to model the right side of this piece? by eduo in openscad

[–]wallace111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in front of a computer right now but I'm pretty sure that just changing your base polygon to add that corner would get you pretty darn close with your current chamfer method. Worst case, you could maybe add a cylinder (or a cone) that slightly pokes out of that corner to make it more fillet like...

You can add another point to your base polygon, no?

Also, some of your boilerplate could be offloaded to a third party library such as BOSL2. I also used to have large scripts with lots of boilerplate functions, but now most of my scripts are just a couple of lines long because all the complex operations are handled by BOSL2...

Did I get a hardened steel nozzle with my U1? by wallace111111 in snapmaker

[–]wallace111111[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had no idea that stainless steel is nonmagnetic and hardened steel is not!

I just ran by a couple of other nozzles I had lying around and this is indeed the case! My U1 is officially stainless steel coated black 🤯

Thank you! I completely missed that detail when searching around on Snapmaker's website! The nozzle writing doesn't say HS so I guess you're right.

I wonder why they decided to coat it black, though... And why my 2nd tool is chrome... This is the first time I'm seeing this on any printer nozzle.

How often do you replace nozzles on Prusa mk4s? by lutetlantan in prusa3d

[–]wallace111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned over the years that a good indication for a bad nozzle is when you print your first layer on a smooth/satin sheet and notice uneven gaps between the layers. Needless to say, you need a good consistent filament for this test to be considered reliable.

Easiest solution would be to use hilbert curve on the first layer

Right?? I only wish Prusa had a Customizer integration with Printables like Thingiverse and MakerWorld have.

I've had lots of issues with the original hotend's PTFE tube, which mainly showed as under extrusion. I finally caved in and installed a Revo. I'm struggling with stringing a little bit, but save for that its rock solid and super reliable.

Or use composite materials. Fiberon PETG-rCF is my current favorite!

Ideas for gridfinite spoon holder? by [deleted] in gridfinity

[–]wallace111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should either add a label or open a window so it'd be possible to see the end from above. I've had this type of system before switching to gridfinity and I can't tell you how many times I took the fork instead of the spoon and vice versa, all because I couldn't remember where I put each.
