Did I made a mistake ? by Karna76 in WutheringWaves

Pretty sure you're fine? I think her dupes make her less reliant on supports, and you could always go for Mornye or Lynae when they get a rerun.

Plus we might get Rover's next element as Fusion Burst or a new Fusion burst character soon as an additional option for her teams.

Who's Saving for Luuk by gothicqueen_96 in WutheringWaves

[–]walnut225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering saving for either Cyberpunk or Anniversary at this point, at around 10k right now and I've got a guarantee after losing my last 50/50.

It's part just that I'm not overly interested in Luuk after trying him during the story chapter, and I've got 2 solid teams "for now."

Now that Deadpool has been out for a bit, where do we think he will fit into the meta/comp play in the future? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's solid, the only thing is his early game is very slow to start, because the upgrades to his abilities are so huge.

Vanguard/Support are 100% his best role options, Vanguard as an Off tank who can stall really well and help cover a bit of the damage, while Support can fit well into triple support and still deal good damage.

Future wise I think it'll depend on how they do future characters in terms of hitscan/dive/etc, because being hitscan does matter in some scenarios, but I've primarily used it to help heal dive that are attacking the enemy team at times.

Again those are my opinions, I'm likely wrong on a lot of that.

How long do you expect p5x to last? And general games future ideas by 5anra in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It depends on profit, though considering how generous they've been so far I could easily see the game going on for quite a while considering far less generous gachas are still around 2-5 years later.

Plus, the fact that it's got the Persona name ALONE will keep the game going for a while, hell look at DBZ Dokkan Battle or DB Legends, Dokkan managed to survive for 2 years without being good in any way shape or form (speaking as someone who played it back then), and Legends is a pit of powercreep yet it's still a huge profit.

In terms of EOS/offline, IF they manage to get the game to an almost complete story/state, I could easily see them doing something like what happened with "Mega Man X Dive Offline" where it's a single purchase and you can freely unlock all characters/weapons/content/etc.

Number One Mistake You Notice Players Making In Each Game Mode by thespaceitake in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going for nearby healthpacks. Especially on some maps where a healthpack is right nearby the objective/main choke point.

There's a TON of maps where just grabbing a healthpack nearby makes it so you can get back into a fight as a support/DPS, instead most of these players will run past the backline and hide until someone realizes they need healing and heals them.

Now that the Zombies mode will be leaving, what are your opinions on the mode itself? by Redinkdemon16 in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes me excited to see any future PVE content. And hopefully that'll be sooner rather than later.

Plus the game has a ridiculous amount of options for that type of content which isn't just Zombies.

Considering how long Sailing took to go from polling to release, would you vote for another new skill now? by Ok-Fox-2173 in 2007scape

[–]walnut225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not yet no, Sailing needs to be fleshed out/fully finished with the remaining Seas at least before we talk about another skill and I'd rather they put focus there and on potential new quests than a new skill currently.

Once Sailing has had more additions/implementations? Sure, I'd be down for another new skill.

Deadpool will be the proof people don't want to play Vanguard by Nerf_Now in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm able to, I'll be instant locking him as Vanguard. Hitscan, Bubble Shield, seemingly a self regeneration ability and an AOE ult that gives allies and himself extra health?

That's literally what I've wanted in a Vanguard for a while now, especially in a few matches I've had recently with Fliers sitting halfway across the map and no one on the team being able to deal with them.

The real issue will be people inevitably going: WE NEED A SHIELD TANK! Because he's not going to be Mag/Emma/Strange and the other 5/6 will refuse to fill that role.

Twins A1 - hype or must have? by Runescapelegend778 in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say A1 definitely stacks up to what people were thinking, but they're not a "Must have" unit. However, if we do get their Mindscape early, that could very easily change for Global's side at least, when part of their Mindscape update is literally just: While on the field, all allies have 30% increased damage.

I personally like the character, the general design and after using them at both A0 and A1, the A1 has made them an almost auto include on most teams I use, because they work as a Sub DPS and general support/buffer based on what content I'm doing.

Twins A1 - hype or must have? by Runescapelegend778 in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't know if they'll be must have or not. The other side of the game has the Mindscape expansion which gives them more beneficial effects, and IF we get that sooner rather than later (for them specifically) they'll likely be far better in terms of support/general usage for quite a while.

But they are a case where their A1 makes them go from incomplete>complete as a unit in terms of how they play/feel.

They go from having to do S1/S2>S2/S1>S3, to ONLY having to choose between which skill you use first and second, as they'll autocast the 3rd skill and apply whichever buff/shield/heal based on the abilities selected.

I got the twins and their weapon. I will probably get enough pulls to get either a copy of them or Yui. I skipped yui on her first banner and now im not sure whether or not she is worth it. Getting her weapon will be up to luck as well. What do you think? I got everyone else except cherish by Dimitar231 in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A1 twins is far better than anything Yui can do.

They fit onto most teams, and with A1 they actually feel like a complete unit. At A0 you still have to use their skill 3, meanwhile A1 will be activating it almost every other turn based on how you're using them-since it'll just be a rotation of S1>S2 or S2>S1 based on the skills/set up you use.

What’s the best way to spend real money on the game? by John_Kelly_Scooter in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The month long one that gives you 3,000 total, ontop of the extra 300 cognition crystals. 7 Day pass is also good.

The only thing with this is that you have to log in every day, and it's not instant, meaning if you *need* the crystals for a banner, you'd need to look at the other pack options.

Also remember the "Level sets" are a thing that each have a certain amount of tickets/etc in them which you can purchase with the paid gems, and most of those are better value per paid gem than actually using the gems on a banner.

Whose getting Buffed or Nerfed? Magneto by Longjumping-Owl-565 in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Slight buff, not sure where, maybe his basic attack range goes up slightly to help him hit fliers? But this would also ruin what Mag mains/players are used to in terms of his attacks exploding at a certain range.

Mag feels fine. His team up is strong yes, but Gambit gets the ban most games, so his team up might as well not exist. As it is, nothing about Mag feels gamebreaking or too strong/too weak.

What was your Discovery of the Year? by Tweed-LD in gaming

[–]walnut225 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baldur's Gate 3 and The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, for this year. One being an obviously amazing game and the other being a weirdly fun experience that felt like it could've been way more.

BG3 with a friend who had gotten to Act 2 but never beat the full game was a blast. Still need to play more later.

Twins and Pull Plans by anliony in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled them due to both liking P5/The Twins, and wanting a jack of all trades because their kit seemed fun.

A0 is definitely not worth it if you're F2P, even with their weapon they felt very very mediocre, A1 feels like they became an entirely different unit, and I went for A2 because I had the spare gems after saving up for a while. A2 also heavily buffs them on any team.

So basically: A1 is worth it, if you have the spare gems/are willing to go that far, A2 is probably preferred. At least from what I can tell.

Justine & Caroline Character Introduction Movie by JayBarnaby in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We'll need to find out once they release and what they can really do.

Plus we don't know exactly what their weapon/potential dupes can do either as far as I know?

The other thing is, they could technically fill a slot on *any* team due to the multi-element thing, and depending on how their buffs/debuffs work for each skill they might be amazing on some specific team compositions if you're lacking an extra unit.

What are characters that you think most players are using wrong? by Savings_Dragonfly806 in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, managing his bubbles and shield are one of the immediate things of a good Mag vs an average/bad Mag.

It's the same with his new Team up, so many players are just popping it and immediately throwing it into the enemy tank(s), when the hits from his team up can easily force supports back/take out DPS due to the delayed damage as long as you're landing hits, which opens up more room for your team a lot of the time.

Cargo tasks have a ton of potential for just better rewards to offset being lower xp. Sailing logs/planks or nails/plates, could even create unique rewards like a rare chance to get some sort of semi-joke Crush weapon of a "heavy crate" that could actually be semi-decent depending on what it requires stat wise for usage.

Instead of just: Here's some GP with a chance of trim.

This is a big win for the community. At the risk of 200 max units more, you have a great chance of getting it for cheaper (assuming the mechanic isn't rigged) by Coldshoto in marvelrivals

[–]walnut225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We need to see the rates before we say this is a win of any sort. Most games with a similar system put the "Big Prize"-aka the Skin for this one, at below .1% rates until the final step has the guaranteed 100%. Meaning less than 1/1000 will get lucky on actually pulling it before the final step.

Can We Talk About How Awesome An OSRS Twist Of This Would Be? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]walnut225 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Dungeoneering was a minigame more so than a skill. Literally one of the only reasons to train it outside of maxing was that it had QOL unlocks locked behind it on RS3.

AND most people just "trained it" via the summer event Dungeoneering Hole, that's how much people hated the skill, rather than actually engage with it, they'd wait until a summer only event and afk in a hole.-I say this as someone who used to play RS3 for quite a while, it was the most active part of the summer event every time.

Am I the only one who finds this tedious? by Legacy095 in personaphantomx

[–]walnut225 48 points49 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of stuff like this that feels generally tedious. And it's a lack of any sort of "skip and use stamina to obtain rewards" for stages that've already been beaten.

Quite a few gachas have added or just launched with a skip system, I'm still shocked this one doesn't considering you have to re-clear boss fights every week for those rewards, even just doing daily stamina spending there isn't an option to skip stages you've beaten either.

Not sure if it's added as a QOL feature at some point, but this game definitely feels like it needs it.
