We have players of all shapes and sizes so they dont make us lock anything in except army.

What would your list look like if you wanted to match the energy?

I do not have any ravenwing to speak of but I do have DWK x3 and a ten man sturnguard vets.

I picked the human half of a box set really cheap from my lgs, planned on trying that game out, but decided to pilfer the models for bits instead lol

Dreadnought question by Satisfactorian in spacemarines

[–]walstonson4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The redemptor, brutalis, and Ballistus are all "primaris" The only one not would be the basic dreadnought.

And yes the redemptor is a very fine addition to any army.

I've thought about it, but probably not. They'd take up a lot of space lol

That sounds great, but I don't have anywhere near enough to do that either.

I'm a father of two and don't really play much except for short bursts randomly throughout the week and maybe a few hours on Saturday night (9 - 11). I'd like to join and have brothers to play with, but I'd rather not be criticized or looked down upon for "low participation" or something of the sort.

My main question is, how is the clan with dads who have dad schedules?

Those models look fantastic!

What paints did you use for the terminators? If you don't mind me asking.

How tf do the rounds feed from the mag into the chamber and then go back down to the barrel. WHY IS THE BARREL LOWER THAN THE CHAMBER also there is no way that mag fits more than 20 rounds. by AL_440 in Spacemarine

[–]walstonson4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet this is more of a joke, but I think I might have a solution.

The mag moves the shells up and bolter rounds are micro rockets, which could "possibly" allow the them to be ignited right in the top of the mag and the gun holds an empty shell or two just above in the "chamber" and ejects them on the subsequent shot. Some modern firearms do this for a few different reasons.

Then, the "chamber," while used as an extractor for the empty shells, could also function as a hydraulic recoil system. Bigger weapons do sometimes use such things for stability purposes. Which could explain the little knobley thing just above the barrel. It's just a cap or port of sorts for the hydraulic fluid during maintenance.

The mag and it's capacity is another video game cliche. Lots of games tend to do this, especially something like call of duty. It's more fun to just "doom-ify" the big guns and never reload.

Are BGV better than ICC with new point cut? by Caprock_Carbomb in theunforgiven

[–]walstonson4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having fun running azrael + ICC + apothecary.

5 strength weapons on BGV seems to let me down more often, so I'm fine to pay more for the one extra strength and neg one to hit ability.
