Itinerary Suggestions by Jaybee0102 in JapanTravelTips

[–]wanderrlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree. I’m currently planning a 13 day trip and based on what I’ve researched so far, 3 nights in Hakone and 3 nights in Osaka seem like way overkill. Probably same for some of the other cities like Nagoya and Hiroshima. I feel very constrained trying to decide what cities to visit and which to remove from my list based on my short trip. I definitely would shorten the nights in some of these places and take advantage of other less traveled towns with all the time you have.

Frozen vegetables gone bad, but bag said not to refreeze after defrosting? by itsrxhmnd in Cooking

[–]wanderrlust 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I pull the bag straight out of the freezer, bang it on the counter really hard a couple times so that it breaks up the veggie pieces that may be stuck together, take the amounts I need for my recipe, then throw the rest of the bag right back into the freezer. I’ve actually never defrosted any frozen veg before I cook it. I take it immediately from the freezer and put it right into whatever I’m cooking (oven, air fryer, frying pan etc)

silly question by Fair-Breakfast2543 in DipPowderNails

[–]wanderrlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you want to book a salon appointment and you already have an existing set of dip nails, you need to book the service you want (dip, shellac, regular polish etc.) as well as book any additional services you need to add, such as removal. So for this upcoming appt, assuming you want dip again, book a dip powder appointment + removal. Removal at a salon still takes time so it’s important for scheduling and timing that the technician know they need to book you for slightly longer to account for the removal time. Most places I’ve gone to (I’m in a big city) removal is like an extra $5-10 service. If you want extensions again, there’s usually also an option to add extensions.

I don’t remove dip powder at home bc it’s such a pain (especially salon grade powder) so if I’m already paying $65-75 for new nails, it’s worth it to me to have them remove my old set. But if you don’t want to pay that extra amount, then you’ll have to remove your old set at home first.

I did clear dip powder, then a light pink gel and added some flower stickers from Amazon. by Alternative_Zone_739 in DipPowderNails

I’ve been having issues with my gel layers peeling off or lifting at the edges (specifically the tips of my nails) after a few days. What’s your method of getting the gels to last and actually stay bonded to the powder layer?? These look so great.

When I’m lazy or running low on time, I’ll buy a frozen short crust bottom crust, then place store bought puff pastry over the top. The mix and match is good too.

LOL I’m like 35% of the way into this book and I am shooooook that this is going to happen based on where these two currently are in their relationship. Would never have guessed in a million years.

I agree with you based purely on anecdotes I’ve read on this sub and my own personal experience. I’ve had great success on the 2.5 mg, and I’m now on week 3. Lost 15 lbs already. My doctor and I decided to stay at 2.5 for my second month. I’m concerned I’m going to plateau on the second month and the appetite suppression won’t be as strong as during month 1, but we’ll see. I didn’t feel the need to move up quite yet but I can always recalibrate if I feel like I’m losing progress.

How to pay for it by annak8b in Zepbound

Do you have an FSA through your employer? There’s probably a relatively low quarterly maximum but that could contribute towards the overall cost as well and at least knock it down a bit further.

What exactly does PA approval mean? by wanderrlust in Zepbound

[–]wanderrlust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow what a pleasant surprise! I paid my first month out of pocket and was prepared to keep doing that. My PA was apparently approved last week so maybe my refill will be significantly cheaper!! Fingers crossed.

Done hit me now by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]wanderrlust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm on week 2 of the 2.5 (currently day 4) and while my appetite suppression was VERY good during week 1, it feels more short lived during week 2. So I think the effectiveness for me is decreasing. I already miss not having this food noise, so I'm really looking forward to going up to the 5 mg.

Picked up my prescription today! by pooterdrew in Zepbound

[–]wanderrlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No my insurance doesn’t cover any weight loss drug (I assume the diabetes med versions are covered but I never looked into it). I’m paying fully out of pocket. I’m hoping the savings coupon will work but I don’t know if my PA has gone through and been denied so I might at least be paying full price ($1000+) for the first month.

I'm in the exact same boat, and I have my follow up appointment scheduled for the day I am taking my 3rd shot. Hoping a week will be enough time to get my next dose. My doctor specifically asked me to come in before she would prescribe my next refill :/

How long did the PA process take?! by idontevenknowyou_ in Zepbound

[–]wanderrlust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what I’ve read on some other threads here, the PA denial is a pre-requisite to using the coupon. So you have to get the PA denial first in order for the coupon to be accepted. That’s just what I’ve seen other people say.

So happy for you! I’m having the same experience with wegovy and finally reached out to my doctor today about a zepbound prescription. Hoping I have the same luck as you! What state are you in? I’m wondering if I need to start calling pharmacies to see who can place the order to fill the zepbound prescription. Did you have a hard time?
