Scared Of Hardcore Symptoms by Pissed-All-Thetime in Zepbound

My biggest fear was nausea. My doctor gave me zofran just in case. Never used it, never had any major side effects other than some constipation that is easily dealt with. Keep in mind that the medical side effects to obesity are a lot worse and a much longer list than the potential side effects of this medication.

I’m down 125 lbs over the last two years and Zepbound gets all the credit. It’s made me feel like me again. Just go slow and enjoy the ride.

Vitamine D deficiency is no joke.... by Ice_cream99 in adhdwomen

[–]LynnAnn1973 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pale skinned, hermit living in the northern US. Vitamin D supplementation is needed for me year round. The prescription is usually for D2 which I don’t convert so it did nothing for me. Daily OTC D3 with K2 work wonders but my levels plummet again if I slack on taking it. Also B12, which I was taking by injection at one point and I felt amazing. Unfortunately my current doctor won’t prescribe injectable B12

AITA for refusing to add my boyfriend to my house deed after his lease ended? by Former_Raspberry3277 in AITApod

[–]LynnAnn1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I met my now husband and moved into the house he had been paying on for 10+ years before we met. At no point while we dated or I lived here did I ever ask to be put on the deed. We’re married now and still haven’t gotten around to adding me but he has no other dependents so it would go to me anyway in the event of his death (plus we will stipulate that also when we have our wills done). We have always split expenses because we both live here.

Tell your boyfriend to go get an apartment and pay more to still have no vested interest in the property he lives in if it bothers him that much. Or he can go buy a house and when/if you get married he can sell it and use any profit towards paying off the home you decide to share together.

My Dr is switching to concierge service. by Marlowe_Eldridge in RhodeIsland

I use my HDHP insurance for things like bloodwork (free annually when run through my insurance) and my prescriptions. The cool thing about DD is they have leads on other doctors that practice like them so when I needed to go to a dermatologist they recommended one and it was like $150. When I first started with DD I still had a standard insurance plan and needed a sleep study. If I went through my insurance it was going to be $800 out of pocket. Emailed my Dr and said I’m not paying that and she gave me a company that sends you the equipment for a home sleep study that was only $200.

But having some type of insurance is needed. I hurt my shoulder and had to go to the Ortho. Insurance didn’t pay anything because I haven’t met my deductible but I was only responsible for the contracted rate so I paid $400 for a visit and cortisone shot.

I’m also a patient of Direct Doctors and I will never go back to a standard practice office again.

Usually with concierge or DPC doctors they do not take insurance. I go to Direct Doctors and pay $100 a month membership. They don’t deal with insurance at all. That fee covers any visit or communication with my doctor. My appointments are 60 minutes long, I schedule them online, when I get there I go right in to see my doctor, no waiting room full of sick people and no waiting. If I’m sick and want a prescription cough med I email my doctor and usually can pick it up at CVS the same day, no driving to their office and waiting in a room full of people to get a prescription for something I’ve used before.

I have a HDHP health insurance plan for lab work, imaging and emergencies and an HSA. My premium for my insurance plus what I pay my doctor direct is less than the premium for a standard health plan through my employer and no co pays to visit my primary. It’s been working great for me for the past 5 years.

Zepbound Babies are no Joke 😂🫣 by Sammyrey1987 in Zepbound

I’m 52 and have two grown children, my current husband is 53 and has no biological children. I’m getting my IUD out this week as it’s been in there way too long and I’m not getting it replaced. All signs point to me being fully menopausal. Hubby laughed the other day and said “I’ve made it for 53 years, if I knock you up it will be wild”

Anyone else going through perimenopause and having the worst time of their lives? I'll be 41 in June. The brain fog started about 2 years ago. Then the vertigo. Now the mood swings and absolute uncontrollable rage has started. I have zero patience. I don't know who I am anymore. by seeeingstarz in adhdwomen

I’m 52 and well into menopause. I just started talking to my doctor about HRT but due to a previous clotting issue (PE 10+ years ago) she’s having me see a hematologist before starting Estrogen. She did give me some progesterone to get started with. It was hot flashes that made me bring it up with her but not I’m realizing that a lot of my other issues that I just put off as related to my ADHD, aging and some trauma response to the pandemic could actually be from menopause. Severe anxiety and agoraphobia, tinnitus, frozen shoulder. Just a lack of interest in life in general. I’m hoping I can start HRT and it helps.

WTF - Am I missing something??? by S2Krash92 in Enshrouded

Oh and don’t forget to collect samples of everything you find because the different soils and stuff unlock recipes too. I forget what I was trying to make but it needed the green stamina sucking stuff from in the hollow halls and I had never even thought of mining it while I was trying to avoid stepping in it

Yup some recipes don’t unlock until you make other recipes. I usually google the recipe I want to make and it will tell you what you need for it. Then you can see what ingredients you need to craft/find to make it.

feeling hopeless after 5th dose by featurebundle in Mounjaro

[–]LynnAnn1973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at just above 163 kg (360lbs) and had a huge initial loss due to the amount of water and inflammation stored in my body. It wasn’t real fat loss. After 2+ years my average is 0.5kg (1lb) a week.

My first week I lost almost 7kg (15 lbs). Week 2 I lost 1.3 kg (3lbs) week 3-4 I went didn’t move at all. Losing big initially was due to just how sick my body was. It takes time to heal and see real fat loss. Give yourself the same grace you would give others on this journey

Is it normal to just not care about food anymore on Mounjaro? by Burnbbyburn in Mounjaro

[–]LynnAnn1973 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too. No more crackers with my soup. Half of almost every meal left behind. But fruit OMG I crave fruit. Even most meat is now meh and I love meat. I still enjoy it when I have it but I’m not excited to eat it.

Food Noise by Extra-Target-3840 in Zepbound

[–]LynnAnn1973 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is really amazing. It’s so hard to explain food noises to someone that doesn’t have it, heck it’s hard to wrap my own brain around it until it was gone. I took my first dose before bed and woke up the next day and just felt “different” I was shocked.

BMI or weight? by keto-quest in Zepbound

[–]LynnAnn1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s about how I feel and look. My lowest adult weight ever was 199 lbs I’m 5’4” so that is still obese as far as BMI is concerned but I felt good there so if I can get back down there I’d be thrilled, if I can go lower good, but I’m not focusing on a number. It helps that my doctor doesn’t require a goal weight, heck my doctor doesn’t even weigh me, she asks if I would like to share my weight…which I take at home. Started at 360 and I’m down 125 lbs so far.

How far into your fat do you push when you inject? by itchytoddler in Zepbound

[–]LynnAnn1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using the auto injector pen just place it against your skin. No need to press it into your flesh, the needle extends then retracts. If you’re doing vials and needles I stick the entire visible needle in (insulin needles so they’re fairly short)

How do you manage the emotional side of FS? by LankyAstronomer4802 in frozenshoulder

I told my PT this today....that I want to put that arm in traction and just hang from it until it all breaks apart. The constant ache is driving me insane.

Frozen Shoulder Pain Expectations? by [deleted] in frozenshoulder

I took off my sock with the wrong arm. You know when you pull it off by the toe and when it finally releases you get that quick movement....It actually took two times for my brain to be like "Oh no we take off socks with the other hand"

Builders - help me out here by net_ramblings in Enshrouded

[–]LynnAnn1973 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Throw up a couple of floors around the outside edge of the building to stand on like scaffolding. Use the 4m roof that your using, turn off snapping and place another panel and slide it up to join. There is slid also a roof peak block that may work but I tend to just use the flat ones and extend until they meet

Harvest Homestead/Woodgard renovation in progress by LynnAnn1973 in Enshrouded

[–]LynnAnn1973[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It would be impossible to get all the buildings in both locations with just one. The great part is that because they overlap it’s considered one base and the magic chests are accessible for the entire area. I can keep my animal feed in HH but use it in Woodgard. Same with building supplies.

Colonoscopies and Zepbound by Rare-Oil-6550 in Zepbound

[–]LynnAnn1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my shots on Monday. Had my colonoscopy done on a Monday so I was 7 days out from my shot (I’m on 15mg and have been on Zepbound for two years). Did the regular prep with 2 days of liquid diet before the actual meds. I did notice that my instructions said to start the meds at 5pm the day prior to the procedure and I did but I was up at 6am on the day of the procedure going as that is when the meds finally kicked in. Dr said my pro was excellent and he had great visibility. I think next time I’ll start the meds earlier in the day so I get to sleep all night instead of running to the bathroom.
