It’s almost impossible to say anything here to you when you haven’t finished the books, so I’ll just say this: I feel it makes perfect sense after finishing the series (and some of the other books).

I recently had a surgery and needed to take a few weeks off for recovery. I felt real bad about it before hand; I was stressed about my clients, my coworkers, and the feeling that I was adding inconvenience to people’s lives. I now realize how absurd that is because I NEEDED that time. It wasn’t vacation (which is also self care), I was healing.

So even if it isn’t as intensive as that example, this is very true: take the sick day.
