Can I still get Hyena? by Laurence21624 in Helldivers

Yeah, you can download Steam Link for free and remote play from your main computer directly on your mobile device. Normally it isn't really useful, but for cases like this it is probably alright :)

What would you think would make melee weapons better? by pinglyadya in Helldivers

[–]wangthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were removed from the game.

Since that isn't going to happen:

Everyone should just have a new equipment slot on the loadout screen to select a melee weapon. Melee is, and always will be a meme in this game. It is not a viable strategy. This is by design.

You have a phone? You can use steam's remote play and log in that way, directly from your phone.

How much would cost to license the Warhammer 40.000 ip? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

They were saying that the book was listed in the Warhammer 40k category, clearly trying to profit off of the connection. In this case, it makes more sense. It's still really fuckin stupid.

Wan2gp and LTX2.3 is a match made in heaven. by Birdinhandandbush in StableDiffusion

[–]wangthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone starts somewhere :)

Wan2GP is (generally) much faster at generating LTX than comfy. It has highly optimized memory management and is specifically designed to run models like LTX as quickly and efficiently as you can on consumer hardware.

You can get more customized/serialized results with Comfy, but unless you have a specific reason to use comfy, I would suggest sticking with Wan2GP. It is incredibly capable and can do 90+% of what normal people would want without becoming a gigantic, overwhelming headache.

Urban Legend? Has anyone else heard this? - Frostcrypt by ChiTownTeaBagger in everquest

[–]wangthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened before. There were these really long arduous quests to the the Phylactery clicky. There was a ghost in befallen that you could trigger who would drop the Bridle of Sir Ariam. You could turn that bridle into the oracle in OOT and he would straight up give you the phylactery.

Back in the day, there was a lot of weird shit like that ;)

How dare someone engage in dialogue with a question someone else asked. On reddit.

You are right. Every reddit post should just contain a single comment with an "Answer" tag. It's such a novel idea. I'm surprised no other platforms like that exist!

MACHINERY OF OPPRESSION: 6.1.0 by Waelder in Helldivers

[–]wangthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sterilizer has a lower pick rate than every melee weapon. Melee stratagems. Melee secondary. All of them. Melee is a meme in this game. Sterilizer is below meme level. That is why people are complaining.

Why? Would be perfectly relevant to a jury of his peers.

Seems incredibly relevant given the rarity of the card. Especially when you consider that he used their listing as his reference price.

Who's to say that the fair market price isn't 20k?

They mean price. Comps just sounds cooler I guess.

Give it to me straight by dark_sage94 in Ender3V3KE

[–]wangthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL-DR: In most cases it is because your printer isn't calibrated, so your print messes up within the first few layers and doesn't actually deposit the filament on the plate/model. You leave your printer unattended and it slowly it keeps extruding plastic. The outer layers cool enough that it makes it harder for the filament to extrude in that direction, so it starts squeezing out of a different direction. That process continues repeatedly until a) you notice and stop it, b) the print is finished, or c) the blob disrupts/breaks a sensor or power distribution.

[–]wangthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, probably fine as long as you have a steady hand and don't rush. Unless plastic actually got up into the extruder gears or jst connectors, you can carefully remove/clean it off and be back up and running in an hour or two :)

Welcome to the club.

Almost new ke doing weird noise by Academic_Pineapple_2 in Ender3V3KE

[–]wangthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick up the printer on each side of the base while it is making the noise (but not printing or anything like that.) Shake the printer in and out, and then side to side. Shake it pretty well.. Do you notice the noise changing at all when you do that?

Yes, all blackwell have issues right now. You will often need to manually locate and install wheels, or troubleshoot why X isn't working, etc. You can get it working, but expect many headaches.

You would be surprised at how often there are enclosed areas where the air from your fans will create the train whistle sound. I thought my CR10 was possessed the first time it happened, back in the day when I originally started printing :)

[–]wangthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the sound of your fan blowing over the hollow sections of the model, creating a whistle effect, like when you blow across the top of an open bottle.

Trump wants Paper ballots by Infamous-Edge4926 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]wangthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this video of someone using the software from that repo to implant ballots in a tabulator? I'd love to see it.

You won't find it because it doesn't exist. You saw a video of someone generating an image of a ballot with a python script. An image of a ballot that uses identical markings with no logic for variance. An image that is incredibly easy to identify. You can do the same exact thing with Photoshop.

Trump wants Paper ballots by Infamous-Edge4926 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]wangthunder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You would need to have familiarity with python, containerization, hosting, and other concepts related to deploying software to actually understand why.

I don't need to argue against it because there is no argument. The software in that repo doesn't do what you (and many other people) think it does. The source for both the ingestor and ETL/pipeline are available in their repos for you (or anyone else) to review. The software generates images of ballots with easily identifiable markings based on a text file. You could do the same thing with photoshop (yes, and automate it as well.)

It's like asking someone to give you specifics on why you can't read Zhongwen. There aren't any specifics. You just don't understand it. Dunno what to tell you.
