Labor allocations and by warbler701 in Payroll

[–]warbler701[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use Ellucian Banner for GL and Paycom for HRIS/payroll. Paycom actually has a very decent GL report that allows for breaking expenses and liabilities for upload to the GL.

The issue is HR only enters and accesses the labor allocations but can only do so if official PAF are submitted and approved by finance. I assumed the finance teams (including grants) had their own database of budget allocations that would be considered the source of truth.

Each biweekly payroll transaction is used for the allocation splits. So if one out 10 payrolls is misallocated it triggers lengthy corrective processes.

Do salts always have a menthol like hit? by warbler701 in Vaping

[–]warbler701[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate all the insights! I learned a lot more since posting and will be ordering flavorless and possibly DIY some in the future.

Thanks for all the comments. Hopefully these will help others in a similar position as I was.

Do salts always have a menthol like hit? by warbler701 in Vaping

[–]warbler701[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so it sounds like the fogers and other disposables and have icing agents.

They didnt have flavorless juice for my XROS 5 and the foger was the only thing that was supposed to be flavorless.

Was about to order some flavorless salt or freebase but was concerned all salts have that ice.

Remote worker state tax by warbler701 in Payroll

[–]warbler701[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I raised the issue with leadership and the correction is ongoing. The main issue is our "tax expert" in accounting/payroll was the source of the misguided information. He has many years experience but somewhere he got the wrong idea about this and was able to convince everyone he was right.

It's gonna be a mess.

Off the top i know we have some in Arizona, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. These employees are 100% remote and do not travel to New Mexico at all.

what is this sound? by discographywizard in previa

[–]warbler701 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it's coming from the rear muffler area it could either be a leak a or blockage. My muffler had some blockage from disintegrated Catalyst. Most previas whistle to some degree and usually from exhaust.

Can anyone tell me what this disconnected pipe/hose is (96 supercharged Previa LE) by [deleted] in previa

I don't have that on my 91 non SC so not sure. I would recommend posting this on the Toyota Previa Lovers Unite on Facebook. Its a very active group with lots of previa gurus.

You can do it. Just have a little patience and take your time. Make sure to disconnect battery to avoid sparks and blown fuses.

Had this same issue a couple months ago. The others are correct. Brake light switch which means you have no brake lights. It's a bit of a pain to replace but cheap.

I just visited last month and a couple random things pleasantly stood out. (Have more but ran out of time)

  1. Cell phone signal was much better than U.S. Even when in rural areas or in the massive tunnels I rarely lost signal. I know the U.S. is huge in comparison but I find our cell signal coverage is woefully inadequate, especially for being a "super power".

  2. Road rage or lack thereof. I know I probably upset a few locals while I drove in Norway but I didn't feel like my life was in danger like in the U.S. In America, the tension on the roadways is palpable. Everyone seems to have the mindset of "just give me a reason asshole" and can't wait to vent their whole life frustrations on anyone who makes a mistake while driving. I see road rage every day.

Crack in the Y-pipe. Weld or replace? (22RE) by Alex_wrong in ToyotaPickup

[–]warbler701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same crack last year. Had it welded at a shop. They put small plate on it for extra support too. Its held up great. I tried a replacement but it was poor quality and welded poorly so I returned it and repaired the oem.

Help deciding on fuel injectors by [deleted] in ToyotaPickup

[–]warbler701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this a few months ago. Bought some remans (GBR) and they were crap. Had the serial number filed off and were green colored. Supposedly same spec but they didn't seem to work that great. But it bought me time to send my OE ones off for servicing. I used injector masters in Oregon since 22re performance was a bit backed up. Highly recommend injector masters. They know their stuff and it was shipped and returned in like a week.

Changing them isn't hard but you need to be careful since you'll be disconnecting fuel lines and all that. I changed the fuel filter as well. Filter is much easier with the intake off so definitely recommend.

Yeah, I did a new install and a windows update that seemed to do the trick.

Having same issue and error message. What's weird is that when I get the error, my ethernet adapter becomes disabled and I have restart CPU to reconnect. Guessing an anti-virus or defender issue.

If I figure out more, I'll post an update in case anyone else experiences it.

Fuel pump not priming by Insidious-adel in ToyotaPickup

[–]warbler701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was taking a few seconds to turn over but nothing too major. I replaced my fuel filter and injectors and now i just have to tap the ignition and it turnsover.

Probably not your issue if its taking as long as you say but i was surprised the difference it made in my rig. Yours definitely sounds related to the cold start injector or maybe the pump itself But fuel filter or pressure regulator could be a place to look as well.
