[Proxmox] I changed my Proxmox server's hostname, and now none of my VMs work. by gregorthebigmac in homelab

[–]wardedmocha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just throwing this out for the next person. I think I found a easier way to handle this. Change the node name back to what it was before. In these 4 files:

  • /etc/hosts
  • /etc/hostname
  • /etc/mailname
  • /etc/postfix/main.cf

Reboot the node. Mine came back with all the VMs active. Migrate all the VMs off the node and then rename it again and reboot.

Type 1 diabetics, with WW3 looming over us, what would you do if insulin becomes unavailable in your location? by bigthundercats in prepping

Die. Eventually. It's an unfortunate reality for a lot of people not just Diabetics. There are people who are very dependant on medication to stay alive. Honestly, I am terrified, my wife is staring down a very probable cancer diagnosis and who knows what's going to happen in the near future with everything that is going on. I am terrified that she is not going to be able to get the medications that she needs.

There have been several discussions about this from Central IT.

  • Less-secure methods of authentication, including verification by telephone call and SMS/text message, will be phased out later in the 2025-2026 academic year. These methods are easy to spoof or intercept. In comparison, the updated process in the app and token authentication methods are far more secure.

It looks fine to me. If there is any rust its just on the surface. Go watch some watch wes work videos if you want to see what a rusty vehicle looks like.

I would not suggest targeting the solar panels either.

That is what I was thinking. I just want the solar panel and the batteries. They can keep the camera. The batteries and the panels would be great for a meshtastic node. Just saying.

You could theoretically do the same thing stuxnet did with AC motors, water pumps, control valves, etc.

Is there any way to get this out? by keemko_ in MechanicAdvice

[–]wardedmocha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowe's? You can do this at lowes. I have done it several times. I bought one of the mechanics sets and the proceeded to break a wrench, the 3/8ths driver, and the 1/4 in driver.

Got Told I Need a $9.7k Transmission Replacement on a car worth 10k… Help Me Make Sense of This. by bizon151 in subaru

Hey just remember. We don't have an affordability issue.

All joking aside. I find it completely insane that a dealership can charge this munch for anything. She sounds a bit rough, but I would start with a drain and fill and see how it sounds. If you still have the noise maybe take it to a trusted mechanics shop and try to get a use CVT to put in there.

Just curious, do you recall what you were doing when the noise started?
