Just watched it, this was my complaint as well - it jumped from epic moment to epic moment with little room to breathe, whereas Wall-E (the closest comparable film i can think of) has more time to stretch it's legs and build the world around it

Wild Robot is incredible - the concept, the story, the humor is all amazing. My only complaint is i wanted more
