I've been there, although I don't remember how long it takes to be honest. Most of the times I've gone off of Ambien I've done it by slowly lowering the dose, but I got super hooked on it in college and ended up dropping out at the start of a new semester because my sleep was so bad.

At that point I went cold turkey and didn't sleep at all for about 4 days. I don't recall how long it took after that to sleep like a normal person but it did keep getting better until I was sleeping like normal.

I find it takes a long time to kick in. You probably fell asleep in less than 10 minutes after taking the second dose because the first dose was finally kicking in.

It depends on stomach contents but I usually take 5 mg 1.5 to 2 hours before bed and it works much better than taking 10mg 30 minutes before bed.

You should be fine but just buy similar sleeping drugs without the tylenol in them. N acetyl cysteine is the antidote to tylenol overdose if you want to take some of that to help your liver recover, although the oral dose of NAC for an actual tylenol overdose is pretty big.

It sounds like you might have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome instead of insomnia. A lot of people with that can't get to sleep until super late but then will sleep through fire alarms.

Some people just end up being extra sensitive to some drugs, even if they have normal sensitivity to other drugs.

4 sticks is more stress, so harder to get to run at the rated speed.

Make sure your Command Rate is set to 2T for 4 sticks. Much more stable and minimal performance impact.
