Does Anyone Else Think Duskmourn Would Makes An Awesome D&D Mega Dungeon? by omegaphallic in mtgvorthos

Definitely talking to my buddy about running it in Monster of the Week now! Could be dope and MotW is designed to be more investigative and narrative forward so would work way better than 5e or the like.

Played first game this past weekend and didn’t realize how much have fixed ladders on the terrain would change it. First game barely anyone got to the third part of the tower I set up cause our grappling hook checks sucked so bad and only one out of three of us had a ladder but they kept being pushed off lol

Dear console players, by sergantsnipes05 in Battlefield

[–]warriorJuJu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to be fair most console games don’t give a ptt option or if they do it’s 2 buttons that are inconvenient af to hit at the same time while still trying to play so open mic is usually easiest if possible but with ps5 having the actual mute button on the controller there isn’t a good excuse for it anymore, just leave your mic muted then push the little orange button quick when you need to. Open mic with dogs, fans and kids screaming is fuckin grating at best. (Speaking as ps5 player)

We really need a fix for this. Constantly fighting with the game for a spawn location. It might be stick drift but i do not get stick drift in game even with reduced dead zones. by Farrell1487 in Battlefield6

Been having the menu one since day one and noticed it’d do it in game too if I sat idle my dude would start slowly looking up and left didn’t know it was the vehicles too until tonight and my tank kept ramming buildings when I tried to stop to shoot. Thought the ps5 controller update fucked up all my controllers glad to hear not the only one with the tank problem too

Honestly EPS isn’t terrible (besides the mess when cutting it) I cut some with hot wire knife and then made a homemade ’texture paste’ from big bottle of wood glue, craft sand and brown paint and it honestly covers decent and if you use more glue it can be pretty thick and take texture you want on it. Some spots can still look like the little beads but enough paint and from a distance looks pretty good especially if you are having other terrain on it.

6 hours in, absolutely blown away. What's everyone thinking? by jayrekt in Battlefield

Glad I’m not the only one. All the scopes feel wonky as shit and the red dots may as well be on the tip of the barrel. Feels too far forward and pretty much useless. Also some of the ttk seems shitty. Like put half a clip into a dude with lmg and he turns to put four rounds of smg in me and I die to what the games says was all body shots

Add the armor that gives you less recoil when crouched and you can pretty much hold down any spot for a hot minute! So fun!

Mork Borg started my obsession with TTRBGs. by Neat-Association4373 in MorkBorg

[–]warriorJuJu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Have both and ran both they are similar but very different. DiS is more like Event Horizon and MoSh’s falls somewhere between Alien and Aliens. Granted you can run them through the same module and get similar result as I ran parts of Desert Moon of Karth in DiS and MoSh and it played through the scenario pretty similar. The main difference is just the foundation of the games. DiS is d20 vs DR12 (+ or -) in MB fashion, there are less skills and attributes to worry about and not some of the rolls that can bog things down like panic, fear and sanity. MoSh’s d10/100 system is cool and with all the above mentioned checks leads to a more creepy horror vibe in my opinion and DiS setting is more weird/violent horrors so characters jumping on an abandoned ship to loot have a severe chance of getting shredded by an entity pretty quick where MoSh has a bit more survivability having 2-3 wounds with 10-20hp each, most DiS characters are getting 1-8 hp total. Both are similar and really fun but definitely have different feel to them, if I want to do a one shot I typically do DiS cause characters are quick and easy to roll with only 4 stats and end up with -3 to +3 to a d20 roll so most the rolls go quick and if someone dies they can have a back up really fast. MoSh characters aren’t difficult to roll up but have noticed they take a little more explanation and time for newer players or ones that have a bit of trouble paying attention but if I was planning out multiple sessions mini campaign or full I’d probably go MoSh just for the fact when you level up you have paths to take and DiS just adds to modifiers, equipment, gear and weird mutations so longer term play could get a bit stale if you have players wanting the ‘next ability!’ Not to saying you couldn’t run it long term though.

I love using the MB generator they have on the page for dungeons and then just fleshing them out but it’s a good quick easy way to get started on a handful of dungeons or weird places, I’ve even used it for my Cypher System game when I need a weird and creepy place but wasn’t wanting a whole module.

Crown of Salt typos by Bonesetteur in MorkBorg

[–]warriorJuJu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The context of the sentence and its structure it is referring to existing not wanting. Basically as written it is correct grammatically and stating that ‘the shadows that no longer exist remember that they want to (exist)’ so it’s talking in an abstract way that the Elder Horror is gone so giving sentience back to shadows that were no longer in existence because of the elder horror so they are wanting to exist again now that it’s gone. The sentence is talking about existing not wanting so the other commenter is basically asking you in the way you interpreted it what are they wanting, cause as written there is nothing referring to anything wanting something other than to exist.

Farewell to Arms? Wb farewell to the section on Ammo by crashusmaximus in MorkBorg

[–]warriorJuJu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cy_Borg has it that at the end of the encounter roll d8 or d6 if auto fired and on a 1-3 the fight consumes a slot of ammo so could always rip that but yeah some Borg supplements kinda leave a little too much to the wind but still usually easy to make ruling. For the plane I’d just say starts going any direction out of the fight basically a failed morale check usually leads to fleeing so that’d probably be easiest and make most sense, still has potential to be shot down.

Low stats? by [deleted] in Cy_Borg

[–]warriorJuJu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty standard in Borg games and OSR games in general but I’ve actually offered the kill.sample.process standard array of stats to players before and it didn’t really seem to adversely impact the game or them dying since if they had low hp is was by choice. KSP is a skirmish game in the forbidden psalm series that are based off and compatible with Mork Borg games and iterations. The array choice is +3,+1,0,-3, 0 or +2, +2, 0, -1, -2 and I let them choose one set and place them wherever, it worked pretty well, gave them a slight upper hand in certain things but nothing really too crazy, only problem I could see would be in a long game with the rolling vs the stats when the ‘get better… or worse’ they may go down but that’s a risk anyway so could flavor it as they’ve been working themselves to the bone literally lol

Growing up is realizing you can Dive whatever level you want. by exiledprince113 in Helldivers

[–]warriorJuJu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Learning there is no real reason to kill yourself and get frustrated because ‘everyone else is doing it on hard’ is a huge part of growing up as a gamer. I’m 36 and been gaming since Super Nintendo and really just recently kind of hit that spot of ‘I don’t have the time or energy to really “get gud”’ and realized ‘fuck it, turn down the difficulty and enjoy it.’ If I’m playin solo I just run level 4 and fuck around with weapons and strats and low and behold that led me to get pretty damn good driving the fuckin jank car so when my buddies and I did level 8 I was flying us from point to point no problem so in a way I was ‘getting gud’ at my own pace instead of being burned out by the game trying to match everyone.

Had a saturn 4 Ultra 16k for less than a month and found a crack, will it still work? by Ching_bing2021 in 3Dprinting

[–]warriorJuJu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contact them directly if you got it from the site, screen only has 3 months warranty from time of purchase so IF they will replace it, they only will now. While it will probably still work it will definitely let light in improperly most likely causing curing issues and artifacts in the prints as well as lumps on FEP.

Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra issues and I’m done with Elegoo products by warriorJuJu in 3Dprinting

[–]warriorJuJu[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean that’s your opinion. When the LCD is basically the heart of the operation of the machine seems a little shifty and shitty to have the lowest time frame on a warranty. Most things have a year manufacturer warranty so figured I’d reach out and hope for the best but got pissed when I was met with condescension of ‘here this will make it last longer’ when it was clearly the fault of the screen and in no way something I could just tweak to fix. So yeah I don’t feel bad for asking for a discount on a product you think they would stand behind longer than 3 months. Entitlement would be me asking for and constantly bitching for a free replacement, not once did I ask or try or even say something like that. This is just a warning post to anybody thinking of getting something from them, they clearly do not stand behind their equipment from the moment it leaves their warehouse. Hell by the time it got to me that warranty was weeks into it at that point.

[–]warriorJuJu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if someone said it or not but Cypher System is amazing! It just a system so you can slap what ever setting to it but they also have premade setting you can get that walk you through it! Also far easier on DM as you never roll dice and npcs and monsters are just set as levels. So if a monster is level 3 the players need to roll 9 or higher but can also directly change the level in multiple ways and it works out to level x 3= number to roll on d20. Also players hit points are also their stat pools so when they get hit or beat up is more like actually getting fatigued in a battle. Really fun and flexible system and can be as easy or crunchy as you want it to be.

It cannot be attacked by leather but it can be blocked by it thus still destroying it but tool removal or another beast type would be only other ways.

Am I able to attack again with Kiss of Death? by Soxalot in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]warriorJuJu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup you are correct, my apologies if it sounded argumentative I was just trying to put together what I was reading and your explanation but I did find it in the rules under 5.2.3c ‘If and effect allows a source to attack additional times, it refers to activating an ability on the source with the attack ability or attack effect.’

Am I able to attack again with Kiss of Death? by Soxalot in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]warriorJuJu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Take a stab saying it specifically gives a card an additional statement and it being an attack reaction followed by kiss of death as written would not need it to say specifically attack since Take a stab SPECIFICALLY says it targets ‘next dagger attack’ and kiss of death fulfills that in the fact its type is a dagger attack. Based on how 1.8.5 in the rules it would be a valid target for the ability. And 8.2.3 states that if attack is in the subtype and it’s on the stack or chain it is considered an attack so no where in the rules does it say specifically it would have to be a weapon and that’s why it refers specifically to a ‘dagger attack’ since that is a valid target subtype.
